Design And Implementation Of Remote Water Meter Reading System Based On LoRa Technology

At present,Internet of Things technology has been widely used in smart homes,smart cities and other fields.The Lang Range(LoRa)technology that has emerged in recent years is one of the latest emerging IoT application technologies.In some areas,it has gradually replaced Zigbee,Bluetooth,Wifi and other technologies.LoRa technology is a wireless communication technology which has long-distance,low-power,low-cost,low-transmission.LoRa technology is mainly used in data acquisition,environmental index analysis,and human data monitoring.Based on LoRa technology,this paper takes the remote meter reading system as the research object,and focuses on the related technology in the remote meter reading system based on LoRa network structure.Firstly,the study designs the overall architecture of LoRa-based remote meter reading system.The various devices in the overall architecture have different functions,which can be divided into water meter terminal,module of LoRa,repeater,system gateway and application server.The main function of water meter is to collect the water flow of users.The module of LoRa is connected to the water meter through the repeater,and sends commands to the water meter to get accurate data information simultaneously.Then it could send the data to the long-distance gateway.After receiving the original data,the gateway packs the data and uploads the data to the background server through the Ethernet and 4G.The server of application analyzes the original data and visualizes the data in real time for users.For the convenience of users,the system owns the function of data prediction and could analyze the historical data of the water meter to predict the consumption of water of the users in the next stage accurately.In the process of the development of the system,LoRa technology is used to ensure the accuracy of data and save the energy consumption in the process of transmission of the meter after reading the data.And the system which is based on LoRa technology finally realizes the function of remote water meter in reading the data to become the application platform.Finally,the study concentrates on analyzing the data security during the process of transmission and the distance of the transmission.And the power consumption of LoRa communication and the data prediction function of the application side are tested in the study.It verifies that the remote water meter reading system which is based on LoRa technology can meet the design requirements well.
