As the earliest traditional transportation technology,general cargo transportation has the characteristics of broad development prospects and low price.It is an important part of port transportation.In recent years,with the rapid increase of port freight volume,the stockpiles of general cargo yards have increased year by year,and the space resources of the yard have become increasingly scarce.The existing yard layout scheme has been unable to meet the requirements of modern port production and operation.Because the yard operation of general cargo terminal involves multi-process,multimachinery and multi-link,the actual operation is more complicated,and some researches have paid less attention to the layout of the yard.Therefore,aiming at the general cargo terminal yard in the north of China,by mathematical modeling and simulation research on its layout,this paper strives to obtain the layout scheme of the yard that meets with the actual production requirements and characteristics of the general cargo terminal.Firstly,by analyzing the operation process of general cargo yard,the factors affecting the layout of general cargo yard are obtained,which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent modeling.Secondly,with the objective of minimizing the total mileage of trawl horizontal transportation,considering the constraints of cargo type,yard load-bearing and yard capacity,and taking the specific storage parameters of cargo,loading and unloading machinery and yard as decision variables,the mathematical model of yard layout optimizationis is constructed.Thirdly,three different yard storage strategies are designed,and Gurobi is invoked to solve the model in Python environment.The yard layout schemes under different strategies are obtained.The advantage and disadvantage of different schemes are analyzed by using the indicators of yard utilization rate and number of empty yards.Then,in order to verify the validity of the mathematical model solution,the storage area is divided manually under three strategies,and its yard layout scheme is compared with the layout scheme of the mathematical model solution.Finally,with the help of Plant Simulation software,the simulation model of the general cargo terminal yard operation is constructed,the yard operation is simulated dynamically,and the yard layout scheme is used as the simulation input data to run the simulation model,and then the simulation results under three strategies are compared.The simulation results show that the layout scheme of the yard is reasonable and effective,which conforms to the actual situation of the terminal and provides a theoretical reference for the actual operation of the yard layout of the general cargo terminal.
