The hot and humid climate is one of the major climates in China.In summer,high temperature and high humidity make the area great energy consumption due to mechanically ventilated.The study on simulation and practical,domestic and foreign scholars have proved that ventilation is the most effective way to improve indoor climate in the region.As an important space for traditional China Building,the patio is also a passive energy-saving technology for improving indoor ventilation.Based on the applicability of the Traditional Building with Patio,the modern dwellings are divided into 5 categories,including the low-rise buildings:townhouses,detached villas;multistoried buildings:townhouses,inner Gallery Dormitory Buildings,and high-rise:the veranda style architectures.Then these five kinds of residential buildings also can divide into two types:with inner patio or without inner patio.By analyzing the environment,plane,and function of the residential buildings without inner patio,then we summarized and simplified the classical plane x(without inner patio).At the same time,in order to ensure the simplest modification of the study,we add the patio on the plane x to analyze the residential buildings with inner patio.In this way,we have 10 simulation programs,including five kinds of residential buildings,and them can divide into two types:with inner patios or without inner patios.Through using software of phoenics,in a hot and humid climate of Fuzhou,studied wind pressure and ventilation of ten models.In the simulation of the two working conditions(1.ideal conditions,open indoor doors and windows;2.real-life conditions,close the bedroom door),the ventilation status of with patio and without the patio.Though analyzed and compared,we have the results:1.Setting up the patio in the worst environment area can improve the surrounding ventilation.2.Not all of interior patios will improve the indoor ventilation,such as high-rise residential buildings;3.The most effective types of buildings with the inner patio to improve indoor ventilation are low-rise and multi-storey row houses;4.The inner patio enables the central part of the house to open the window to the outside,increasing the ventilation and air intake of the house,and shortening the distance between the entrance and exit of the house.5.After adding the patio,the inner gallery dormitory buildings has ventilation patterns of traditional cold alleys and patios;6.When the inner patio is connected to the bad orientation of buildings,it can be easily formed such ventilation path,even when the door is closed:Patio-Patio opens to the interior-inner corridors-interior.And produced air convection;The innovations in this article are:(1)Though software adding the cases of China software simulation analysis of inner-patio residential buildings;(2)The same type of dwellings;the comparison of whether the variable is a software simulation of a patio;(3)the comparison of special conditions(closing a bedroom door)simulation.
