The ancient city Zhangzhou in the Tang Dynasty,especially whose district of Xiangcheng,has a unique southern fujian traditional culture and architectural style.Thousands of years of cultural origin,historical evolution,open-ended marine cultural exchanges,all left its lingering cultural context in the ancient city.With the reform and development and the progress of the times,Zhangzhou,like most ancient cities in China,is facing the historical opportunity of urban development and transformation.Based on the trend of change in the historical changes,the paper is aimed at how will Zhangzhou take a good opportunity to transform the city,to better protect and continue its history context for thousands of years local,highlight the characteristics of local culture,create a charming Zhangzhou full of thriving modern flavor and historical Minnan characteristics.Historical ancient blocks are non-renewable resources.Once demolished and damaged,there is no possibility of recovery.Even if it is reproduced by modern technology,its original unique traditional style cannot be restored.The protection of traditional ancient streets enables the continuous development of traditional culture,which is responsible not only for history,but also for future generations.Reintegrating historical context into people's life plays an immeasurable role in improving the image,quality and culture of a city.Based on the analysis of the history,present situation and existing problems of the ancient streets in Zhangzhou,as well as the analysis of typical cases at home and abroad,this paper puts forward how to better inherit the local traditional cultural characteristics in the planning and design of the ancient streets,and strive to transform the historical context into a new design language in order to produce in the inheritance of multiple traditional context.New design concepts are integrated into the transformation design of ancient streets.While maintaining the primitive space form of ancient blocks,the fine historical and cultural features of ancient streets are maintained,which makes them not only have a strong sense of history,but also highlight the strong local cultural characteristics,enhance the world's subjective awareness of the protection and inheritance of traditional culture,and make the unique culture of Zhangzhou ancient street can be extended and passed on.In accordance with the design concept of "protecting the authenticity of history,maintaining the integrity of style and maintaining the continuity of life",the humanistic connotation of ancient streets is highlighted on the basis of the cultural background and context of ancient streets.In order to find appropriate protection and reflect the zhangzhou ancient street historical context of expression and inheritance methods.
