There exist some common problems in construction industry in China,such as delays in construction schedules,cost overdue,and rework.How to solve these problems is currently the most concerning part in the construction industry.Normalization of the construction industry will undoubtedly promote the development of the entire construction industry.As a new management method,the web-based collaborative management system gradually replaces the traditional management method.Promoting the application of the web-based collaborative management system in the construction industry will enhance the efficiency of the entire industry.However,there have many obstacles in the process of market promotion.In order to further the application of the web-based collaborative management system,analyzing on its specific impact on the performance of the construction project will deepen people's understanding of the web-based collaborative management system,let the workers realize the profound impact of the web-based collaborative management system on the construction industry and can help software developers to develop more efficient and targeted system software.Therefore,this paper aims to study the impact of web-based collaborative management systems on the performance of construction projects.At present,the research about the impact of the web-based collaborative management system on the performance of the construction project is at the conceptual level.There lacks specific analysis on the impact mechanism of the web-based collaborative management system on the performance of the construction project.Therefore,this paper used theoretical analysis and empirical research to study the theme of "the impact of web-based collaborative management systems on the performance of construction projects".First of all,this paper introduced relevant research about the impact of web-based collaborative management system,construction project performance and web-based collaborative management system on construction project performance.Secondly,this paper introduced the concept,development and functional characteristics of the web-based collaborative management system,built the measurement system of the web-based collaborative management system and the evaluation system of the construction project performance,analyzed the impact mechanism of the web-based collaborative management system on the performance of the construction project,and put forward theoretical assumptions.Thirdly,this paper designed and issued questionnaires,applied structural equation modeling to analyze the recovered data,and determined the impact mechanism of building collaborative management system on the performance of construction projects through the results of empirical research.Finally,the paper summarized the main conclusions,innovations and deficiencies.The main findings of this paper are as follows:Firstly,through the literature review,this paper built the functional framework of the web-based collaborative management system,including project document management,project information exchange,project collaborative operation and project process management.A detailed analysis and explanation of each function was made.These four features cover the whole function of the entire system.On the basis of that,the measurement scale of the web-based collaborative management system is built.The empirical results show that this scale has good reliability and validity,which provides a reference for the later research of web-based collaborative management system.Secondly,this paper built a construction project performance measurement scale,which is measured by objective performance indicators,subjective performance indicators and knowledge and innovation.Construction project performance evaluation has always lacked a recognized project performance evaluation system.This paper constructed a measurement scale for construction project performance from the three dimensions of objective performance indicators,subjective performance indicators and knowledge and innovation.The results show that it has strong consistency and validity,which provides a reference for the evaluation system of construction project performance.Thirdly,this paper empirically analyzed the theoretical hypothesis by establishing a structural equation model,and studied the impact of the building collaborative management system on the performance of construction projects.The analysis found that the four dimensions of the building collaborative management system function have different degrees of impact on project performance.Project document management,project information exchange and project collaborative work have significant positive effects on objective performance indicators,subjective performance indicators and knowledge and innovation.Project process management only has a significant positive impact on objective performance indicators and subjective performance indicators.The impact of each path is different.The results of this analysis enrich the research results related to the web-based collaborative management system,promote the application of the web-based collaborative work platform in the project management field,improve the application of the building collaborative management system,and facilitate the informationization process of the construction industry.
