With the accelerating pace of urbanization and the increasing number of various construction projects,the construction industry still has huge market development space.But the current construction industry faces the following problems: on the macro aspect,the first is the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure,the construction industry needs to eliminate the long-term backward production mode;second is the increasingly fierce competition in the construction market;in the micro aspect,all kinds of construction enterprises themselves also have a variety of problems such as information asymmetry.In addition,in recent years,as an information integration platform technology for construction industry,BIM contributes to the realization of the process of project management informatization,and is increasingly favored by the field of engineering practice.More and more engineering projects have achieved remarkable economic benefits with the help of BIM.In order to achieve a sustained and healthy development of the construction industry,it is necessary to explore the effect of BIM on the project management performance,and to provide suggestions for BIM investment and the improvement level of project management for all kinds of construction enterprises.This paper can be completed through three major stages,the first stage is theoretical preparation and model construction;the second stage is research and data analysis;the third stage is to summarize the research conclusions of first two stages and put forward countermeasures.The first stage: using the research paradigm of the relationship between information technology ability and enterprise performance in the field of manufacturing.The concept connotation and dimension of information technology ability,information sharing and project management performance are classified through literature survey.Furthermore according to the characteristics of BIM,to develop the concept of BIM capabilities,project information sharing and project management performance and their measurement items;In order to ensure the rationality and completeness of measurement items,expert interviews is conducted and sort out their opinions,and then supplementing the description of items that determined through literature survey to form initial measurement items of various latent variables and compile a preliminary questionnaire.Meanwhile,based on literature research and theoretical analysis,we build the initial theoretical model.The second stage: by collecting data from the pre survey questionnaire,using Spss22.0 to analyze the data by reliability analysis and exploratory factor analysis,we purify the items so as to determine the rational factor structure,form the final formal questionnaire and carry out formal investigation.Using Spss22.0 and Amos21.0 to analyze the reliability and validity of the formal survey data and implementing confirmatory factor analysis to verify the rationality of the factor structure determined in the pre-survey stage.Then the initial theoretical model is fitted and verified,and the model model is amended according to the model fitting results and theoretical analysis,and the optimal model is finally determined.The third stage :the optimal model of the theoretical analysis results show that:(1)BIM infrastructure capability can directly promote the project management performance,but also can indirectly promote project management performance through the content of project information sharing;(2)BIM human resources capability can directly promote the project management performance,but also indirectly promote the project management performance through the content of and the quality of project information sharing;(3)the relationship resources capability can promote the project management performance through the content and quality of project information sharing.Furthermore,bring forward the countermeasures of improving the project management performance from the aspects of BIM infrastructure capability,BIM human resources capability and relationship resource capability.
