Zen Buddhism rose from the Tang Dynasty to a more prosperous Song Dynasty.During this period,it was introduced into North Korea,Japan,Vietnam,Singapore and other neighboring countries,and formed a relatively profound influence in its culture,economy,religion,architecture and art.Among them,the influence on Japan is the most important and obvious.Zen was first introduced into Japan through the study of law in Song Dynasty,the practice of Japanese monks and the monk of Song Dynasty,which influenced all aspects of Japan through continuous dissemination,absorption,integration and domestication.The influence of Zen culture on Japan is first reflected in temple architecture and gardens.Therefore,the study of the influence of Zen culture in Southern Song Dynasty on Japanese temple architecture and gardens is helpful to clarify the position and function of Zen culture in Japanese temple architecture and garden development,and to clarify the influence and competitiveness of Chinese excellent traditional culture.Improving the confidence of Chinese culture provides a valuable historical basis.In this paper,by studying the historical data and the research status at home and abroad,field survey and chart analysis,construction of the southern song dynasty zen culture spread in Japan,the dynamic process of fusion and absorption and the temple architecture from Japan and the layout,shape and structure of the landscape and aesthetic aspects carries on the analysis,clarify the southern song dynasty zen culture influence on Japanese temple building and garden,at the same time,analysis of the southern song dynasty zen culture inheritance of temple buildings in Japan and its garden.As an important part of Chinese culture in this period,the Zen culture of the Southern Song Dynasty was introduced into Japan in a holistic and systematic way.Zen thoughts of the world and the realization of the Buddha became deeply infiltrated into Japanese culture.The five mountains and ten temples system of zen Buddhism in the southern song dynasty attracted many Japanese monks to learn zen in song dynasty.The contents include:the system of the five hills and ten temples,the picture of the five hills and ten temples,the rules and regulations of zen Buddhism,the thoughts of zen Buddhism,the documents of zen Buddhism,the writing of zen Buddhism and the architectural culture of the southern song dynasty.In terms of temple architecture and gardens,Chinese and Japanese monks introduced the whole architectural style and shape pattern of zen temple in the southern song dynasty into Japan,which had a long-term influence on the layout,architectural structure,detail structure and aesthetic thought of temple architecture and gardens in the middle ages of JapanThe temple buildings and gardens of the Middle Akikura period in Japan were completely modelled on the Zen monasteries of the Southern Song Dynasty.From the later stage of Kakura to the early stage of Sakamachi,due to the different skills mastered by the craftsmen who presided over the construction of monasteries,as well as the national conditions and aesthetic needs of Japan,the Zen style began to be integrated with the harmony architecture of Japan.Display different architectural styles on a temple building.In the middle of Sakamachi,Japan gradually digested Zen style with harmony sample as the mainstream,and can only see Zen style from the detailed structure.The emptiness of Zen Buddhism coincides with the spiritual pursuit of Japanese monks.On this basis,the dead mountains and rivers germinate and the tea court is derived.Therefore,the "Zen" architecture and the "dead landscape" garden in the middle world of Japan can reflect the extensive dissemination and far-reaching influence of Zen culture in Japan in the Southern Song Dynasty.As the spiritual belief of the Japanese people,temple architecture has always attached great importance to its protection and inheritance.Through the continuous absorption,integration and development of Zen culture in the Southern Song Dynasty,temple architecture occupies an important position in the history of Japanese architecture.From the analysis of the importance and protection of temple architecture and gardens in Japan,as well as the inheritance and innovation of Zen culture in Japanese temple architecture,we can clarify the far-reaching influence of Zen culture in Japanese temple architecture and gardens in the Southern Song Dynasty.This also determines the important influence of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
