In order to break the foreign monopoly,the localization trend of high grade XLPE insulation has become irresistible.Due to the lack of domestic production experience,the cable material production line construction project schedule management problems gradually emerged.This paper takes the XLPE cable material production line construction project currently implemented by YS company as the research object,and discusses the progress management and control method of cable material production line construction project.On the basis of WBS work breakdown structure,the project activity single code network diagram was drawn,and then the total time of the project critical path from activity was 435 days.Through earned value analysis,the progress and cost of six time nodes since 2018 are analyzed from the aspects of deviation and performance analysis,and the cause analysis is carried out.It is believed that there are three factors affecting the schedule deviation of the construction project of high-grade XLPE cable material production line: design error of the foreign party,ineffective procurement of equipment and materials,and lax control of on-site management.The duration of the key works in the project,"D2 peripheral process piping" and "D4 electrical installation",is trying to scientifically shorten the construction period,which is compressed from 435 to 427 days.On this basis,the optimization scheme suitable for YS 'schedule control was proposed,and Suggestions were put forward for strengthening design review and control,improving investment and procurement methods and enhancing on-site management,so as to improve the project schedule and cost management system from these three aspects.By taking the above measures,starting from week 7,2019,the project schedule and cost control status are relatively ideal.The cost deviation CV and schedule deviation SV are both greater than 0,and the progress performance SPI and cost performance CPI index are both above 1.Therefore,through the improved cost control scheme,the construction schedule of high-grade XLPE cable material production line is advanced and the cost is saved.Based on the combination of theory and practice,this paper discusses the construction schedule and cost control method of high-grade XLPE cable material production line construction project in China for the first time,which has a strong reference significance for improving the control and management level of similar project schedule and cost and the construction level of current high-grade cable material project.
