Electric power communication network is the support for the intelligent development of electric power network,which supports and guarantees the power production and operation of transfer and distribution facilities of various voltage levels,dispatching automation and so on.With the rapid development of power grid and the increasing load capacity,composition and operation of power grid are becoming more complex,and the adoption of advanced technology and strengthening the construction of distribution automation have become an important development direction to improve the comprehensive power supply quality of power grid and establish an economic,clean and efficient smart grid.Communication network,as the basis of supporting the businesses of smart grid,has gradually become the key to the development of power system.Power backbone communication network covers regional power grid plants,stations and all kinds of production and office places,and bears important tasks such as power system communication transmission,line protection,dispatching and operation.In order to explore how to maintain the long-term stable operation of communication network,it is very necessary to launch the reliability research of power backbone communication network.By establishing a scientific and systematic reliability evaluation system,we can conduct more effective and reasonable analysis and timely discover the network unsafe factors to guide the planning,design and operation and maintenance of the backbone communication network.This paper summarizes the research status of reliability evaluation of power communication network at home and abroad,introduces the constitute characteristics of electric power communication network and business,and analyzes the requirements of power grid and customer for electric power communication network and the performance of the business,to determine the factors that affect the reliability of the electric power communication network,sums up the current research methods of reliability evaluation,and introduces the calculating methods of relevant indicators.Then,based on the reliability influencing factors,the corresponding reliability indicator evaluation system is designed,and the corresponding indicator weight is given based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP).At last,Based on WebStorm and MySQL database,the software of reliability evaluation system for power backbone communication network is designed.The reliability of the system is evaluated comprehensively from seven aspects.It is helpful for planning,design,operation,maintenance and management of power backbone communication network.
