The rapid development of urban in Algiers has led to over greater needs for travel,as well increasing and diversified mobility.Recently the Algerian Government promoted new projects of transportation such us the subway and tramway system as keys parts of whole sustainable transport strategy.The proposed strategy based on a transport network that allows a restricting of conglomerating territory.In addition,a network intramodality makes it possible to respond to different travel possibilities by integrating different modes of transport in to the network:Subway,tramway and commuter train.Now,with new multimodal transportation in Algiers,people can have multi options on mode choices for his activities during a day.In this line,a multimodality survey Algiers was conducted and targeted a sample representing all categories of the Algerian population.Moreover,an analytical framework based on multinomial logit model identified the mode of transport used and the mode preferred.In addition,the effect of socio-economic variables and travel patterns on the previously identified quality dimensions was obtained through multiple linear regression model.Finally,the results presented in this research could help to understand the mode choice of multimodal transport in Algiers.
