Research On The Corridor Network Construction Of Traditional Settlement Landscape In Ancient Sichuan-tibet Tea-horse Road

The traditional settlement landscape in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road enjoys the unique scenery characteristics and the profound cultural deposits which is an important cultural heritage of ancient road and cultural corridor.With the traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road as the research object,this thesis takes the corridor network construction of traditional settlement landscape as the stand of the research.Meanwhile,on the basis of protection theory of corridor heritage and landscape ecological perspective of patch-corridor-matrix,it analyzes the regional cultural background of the formation and development of the traditional settlements,identifies the landscape characteristics of the traditional patch(settlements)and delimits the suitability range of the corridors.With regarding the landscape patch and the potential corridors as a series of nodes and connecting lines and combining with the external natural natural and cultural background,this thesis explores the corridor network construction strategy of traditional settlement landscape in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road,aiming to achieve the unified protection and integrated development strategy for the regional traditional settlements.In this paper,it introduces the protection theory of corridor heritage and landscape ecology theory and integrates the paradigm of many fields such as landscape architecture,human geography,cartography and GIS.The research aim of this thesis is to explore the integrated protection of the traditional settlement landscape in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road,therefore,it analyzes the regional and cultural background of the formation of the traditional settlements,explores its spatial distribution and spatial-temporal evolution,differentiates its landscape characteristics and evaluates its landscape value.Later,by utilizing the MCR model,this thesis makes a suitability assessment of the traditional settlement landscape,constructs the corridor network of traditional settlement landscape in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road and proposes the suggestions for the protection and utilization of the settlement landscape from different levels.This thesis is mainly divided into 5 parts,making analysis layer by layer.Comb the regional and cultural background of the formation of the traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road,including the historical route change of the Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road,the geographical background,the national distribution,the productivity level,the regional policy change and the religious belief.Analyze the spatial distribution and spatial-temporal evolution of the traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road and identify the communities living at the traditional settlements.First of all,it discusses the county distribution,the geomorphology distribution,the centre city's distribution of the traditional settlements and the distribution of different traditional settlements.Next,it develops an analysis about the spatial-temporal distribution pattern of the formation and evolution of the traditional settlements.Finally,it studies its agglomeration pattern of the spatial distribution and identifies the communities living at the traditional settlements.According to some typically traditional settlements selected,it concludes the landscape characteristics of the traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road from many aspects like the settlement location and layout,the settlement spatial form,the traditional architecture characteristics and the cultural characteristics.Meanwhile,it makes an assessment about the landscape value of the traditional settlements from the perspective of corridor heritage resources.This thesis plays an emphasis on the delimitation of the suitability range for the landscape corridors of traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road based on the MCR model.With taking the traditional settlements as the source and taking the factors affecting the protection and development of the landscape corridors such as geomorphology and water transportation,it analyzes and evaluates the suitability of the corridors.This thesis puts forward to construct the corridor network structure of the traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road by the combination of the landscape ecological thought of patch-corridor-matrix and the protection measure of corridor heritage.At the same time,the protection measures of traditional settlements in Ancient Sichuan-Tibet Tea-Horse Road is proposed from areas,corridors,agglomeration areas of settlement and settlement locations based on the corridor network structure of the traditional settlement landscape.
