Peak-valley time-of-use tariff,as a typical demand-side response technology, guides users to change their electricity consumption habits through the price mechanism, thus changing the load curve. These changes will affect the power supply reliability of distribution network. Therefore, power supply companies need to consider both the impact of demand side response on the reliability of power grid and the question of capital constraints when upgrading the power supply reliability. Therefore, how to distribute the funds reasonably and improve the reliability to the maximum has become an urgent problem to be solved,so this paper studies the above problems.Firstly, this paper focuses on the influence of demand side response on power supply reliability of distribution network.A load optimization model based on peak-valley time-of-use tariff is established, which includes the division of peak-valley period, the establishment of user response model, the minimum peak-valley difference and maximum load rate as the optimization objective, and the basic constraints of the interests of power and power suppliers as the constraints of the optimization problem, and then a complete time-of-use tariff optimization model is established. Then, the response curve is revised according to the satisfaction degree of users’ electricity consumption mode,so as to predict the user load curve more accurately after the implementation of the time-sharing tariff policy. Finally, according to the reliability evaluation results of the analysis examples,it is concluded that the implementation of demand side response improves the load curve, reduces the peak-valley difference and improves the reliability of distribution network. On the basis of the above, this paper also studies the relationship between investment and reliability improvement of distribution network considering demand side response as follows.Firstly, through sensitivity analysis method,we find out the weak links that restrain the reliability of the system, put forward the transformation plan for the weak links, and calculate the investment cost of the transformation weak links and the degree of reliability improvement after the transformation. Then,on the basis of cost-benefit analysis principle,we use the investment-benefit ratio method to measure the transformation scheme, and construct a set of optimum scheme selection method for reliability and economy. Finally,an example is given to verify the feasibility of the above method, which provides suggestions and macro quantitative basis for the reliability investment decision-making planning.
