Smart grid has gradually become a new trend emerging period established by the power grid,the national grid in order to promote the reform of the national electric power system,began to speed up the establishment of uhv grid around the strength,strive to achieve the stability of power grid connection at all levels.As modern power grid and domestic various types of unit type,if there is no unified organization,command and coordination management,it would be difficult to maintain normal operation of power grid,so the modern power grid must be unified scheduling,hierarchical management.Relay protection equipment as an important part of the whole electric power system,once appear problem,certainly will affect the stability of the whole power system security,at the same time will also bring serious damage to social economy.So our government should increase the intensity of research and management of intelligent substation,which has been widely applied especially 66 k V smart substation relay protection research,so as to promote the development of our country electric power system security and stability.This paper takes the relay protection configuration of Lingbei 66 k V intelligent substation in Chaoyang County as the main analysis object,and briefly introduces the technical characteristics and advantages of the intelligent substation.Then,based on the IEC61850 protocol,the protection characteristics of the intelligent substation are studied,and the traditional intelligent protection assembly is analyzed.System,system intelligent protection assembly system and its differences.Finally,the specific example of Lingbei 66 k V intelligent substation in Chaoyang County is taken as the entry point,and its current situation and development prospects are introduced.Chaoyang County actively promotes the use of intelligent substations,and in accordance with the relevant provisions of the IEC61850 Statute in terms of assembly,the characteristics of the design specifications are mainly manifested in two aspects,one is a two-level network,and the other is a three-tier architecture.Based on this design,the 66 k V intelligent substation in Lingbei County of Chaoyang County has introduced the design principle of relay protection and designed the scheme for the station control layer,the spacer layer and the process layer.The automation and dataization degree of the relay protection system of the whole substation has been greatly improved.The improvement has laid a solid foundation for the future research and improvement of relay protection.It can be seen that the research in this paper has certain theoretical and practical significance.
