With the continuous improvement of people's living standards,there are higher requirements for the power,safety and comfort of motorcycles.Large-displacement recreational motorcycles are favored by the public,so it is necessary to develop large-displacement two-wheeled motorcycles.In this paper,the strength,modality and sensitivity of the frame structure of a large displacement 650 motorcycle developed by a manufacturer are calculated and analyzed by finite element method.The main research contents and achievements are as follows:(1)Based on CATIA software and HyperMesh software,the finite element calculation model of the frame structure is established,and the finite element calculation of the frame structure is carried out by ANSYS software.The calculation results show that the frame structure of the motorcycle meets the strength design requirements in three working conditions: horizontal bending,maximum deceleration and impact load on the rear wheel.(2)Based on ANSYS finite element software,the modal calculation of the frame structure is carried out.The results show that the first three natural frequencies of the main frame overlap with the vibration frequencies of the engine and the excitation frequencies of the road surface.In order to avoid resonance,the structure of the frame is improved.(3)Using ANSYS finite element software to calculate and analyze the sensitivity of the strength and modal of the frame structure,so as to determine the influence degree of the thickness on the strength and modal of the frame from many pipes,and improve the frame structure according to the calculation results,in order to reduce the quality of the frame structure,the weight of the improved frame decreased by 11.35%.The research results of this paper provide theoretical support for the frame structure design of large displacement two-wheeled motorcycles,and have guiding significance for similar product development.
