Since the Western Industrial Revolution,the transformation of production and lifestyle has become the core influencing factor of urban spatial reconstruction.The evolution of industrial space is one of the main drivers of urban spatial evolution.As an important economic growth point of post-industrial cities,creative industries have the characteristics of spatial agglomeration and industrial cluster evolution.Since the beginning of the 21 st century,the construction of cultural and creative industrial parks represented by the 798 Art District in China has arisen.Based on superior cultural resources and rich industrial heritage,Wuhan has carried out the construction of cultural and creative industry clusters or parks earlier.Compared with Beijing,Shanghai,Taiwan,Hangzhou,Guangzhou and other cities with mature creative industries,Wuhan's creative industries have problems such as lack of scale effect,fragmented industrial space and insufficient utilization of industrial heritage.In view of the background of the construction of “the National Central City” and “the Design Capital” in Wuhan,this paper carries out research on the spatial characteristics of creative industries within the Wuhan metropolitan area,and discusses the formation mechanism of creative industry space with positive practical significance.The data sources of this paper include three categories: basic data,including Wuhan administrative divisions,land use status and planning,park greening status,etc;geographic data,including 2013 Wuhan economic census enterprise data,road traffic,rail transit,Urban POI data such as facilities,creative practitioners' living space data;Questionnaire data,including behavioral data of both enterprises and practitioners in the creative industry spatial behavior subject.This paper uses the literature analysis method to sort out the creative industries and spatial related policies of Wuhan metropolitan area,and uses the questionnaire survey method and quantitative analysis method to study the main factors affecting the multi-agent behavior in the process of creative industry space formation.The GIS analysis method is used to analyze the spatial characteristics of entrepreneurial industry and the relative characteristics of other geographic elements.The research content of this paper mainly includes four parts: theoretical basis,through the understanding of creative industries and related concepts,the definition of creative industries at home and abroad is analyzed,and the ideas of Wuhan metropolitan areas are based on ?the Classification of Culture and Related Industries(2018)?,to defines the category,pattern characteristics through the GIS spatial analysis and questionnaire survey,the spatial distribution characteristics of the six core areas of the creative industry,the overall spatial characteristics of the creative industry,the spatial layout characteristics of the creative industry cluster area and its spatial organization model;formation mechanism,studies the most important factors affecting the behavior decision of the three main subjects in the formation of creative industry space in Wuhan metropolitan area,sums up the four driving factors,and finally construct the analytical framework of the creative industry space formation mechanism.Guidance strategy,aiming at the problems existing in the creative industry space of the metropolitan area,propose a targeted space guidance strategy.The research shows that the creative industries in Wuhan metropolitan area are generally in the development stage,mainly concentrated in the core area of creative industries centered on Jiang'an District,Jianghan District and Qiaokou District,and the old town of Wuchang District-Zhongnan Road-Fruit Lake Street – Jie Dao Kou-The “T” shaped creative industry stretch belt,which is the main body of Yushi South Road,has the overall spatial characteristics of the main city gathering,suburbanization expansion,circle declining,double-oriented development,and high-central concentration.Through the spatial analysis of the six core areas of the creative industry,the creative industries of different categories have different spatial distribution characteristics.On this basis,this paper summarizes three main spatial organization modes of creative industries in Wuhan metropolitan area: historical space update mode,park new mode and large subject space agglomeration mode.Through GIS spatial analysis and questionnaire survey,it is proposed that the formation of creative industry space in Wuhan metropolitan area is mainly composed of four dynamic factors(policy,economic power,technical power,social power)and three major actors(government,enterprises,and practitioners).Based on the above empirical research,the overall space system of the creative industries in Wuhan metropolitan area is chaotic,the space utilization of industrial heritage and historical blocks is insufficient,the university's science and education resources,suburban ecological resources are insufficiently explored,and the traffic conditions supporting the development of creative industries need to be improved.Therefore,this paper proposes spatial guidance strategies such as optimization of overall spatial pattern,improvement of location selection guidelines,expansion of spatial organization model in diversified agglomeration areas,improvement of urban roads and rail transit,with a view to providing the theoretical support and policy guidance strategies for the flourishing development of creative industries in Wuhan metropolitan area and rational evolution of industrial space.
