The Study On Adaptable Aging Design For The Community Day-care Centers For The Elderly In Central Urban Area Of Guangzhou

With the rapid development of aging population in China,Guangzhou is facing the same challenge.The growing group of elderly people creates a growing demand for elderly care services.The miniaturization of family size and falling population of children in Guangzhou make it difficult for the traditional model of family providing for the aged to play its original role,and the underdeveloped facilities for elderly cannot meet the needs of the elderly.The community home-based care model for elderly has become an important support for the elderly to obtain old-age care services.Practical experience at home and abroad shows that it is beneficial to physical and mental health,in line with the wishes of the elderly and save social resources for the elderly to rely on the family and community where the disabled elderly used to live.In this context,this paper studies relevant theories of community home care services with the help of relevant literatures to understand the practical experience of promoting the construction of community home care facilities in Britain,Japan,Hong Kong,Shanghai.This paper sorts out the old-age service policies formulated by Guangzhou in the past two decades,shows the development process of community-based care service in Guangzhou,clarifies the emphases and trends of local old-age service system construction,and understands the group characteristics of the elderly and needs of community old-age service in Guangzhou through relevant research reports and questionnaires.Relied on the original pension service facilities Guangzhou build the day-care centers,which have the potential to develop into the multi-functional community service facilities.Based on a comprehensive and in-depth investigation of 73 day-care centers in 4 districts of the central urban area of Guangzhou,this paper summarizes the existing problems and proposes corresponding optimization design requirements.Based on the relevant theoretical research results and practical experience,and based on the specific population characteristics and the current situation of community care services in Guangzhou,this paper formulated the guidelines for the design of the day care center for the elderly in central urban area of Guangzhou.The guideline puts forward detailed suggestions on the appropriate aging of facilities from planning at the macro level and construction at the micro level,so as to provide reference for the future construction of multi-functional community care service facilities for the elderly.
