To solve the problem of the elderly pension has become a major problem of Chinese development with the growing problem, since China entered the aging society in1999. Home-care becomes the development direction of our pension services when the old people are not willing to leave their familiar to nursing home. the Social Care Service System Planning has proposed the task of building that focusing on building a community day care center and pension institutions to improve the level of Social Service for the Aged by the means of new construction, renovation and purchase were enacted by State council. To complement and perfect of residential area planning design theory has important significance by understanding of the spatial characteristics of the community day care center for the realization of the old-age homeThis paper focuses on the choice of the aged way questionnaire. The research of Beijing and Shanghai including basic situation of community day care center, basic situation of nursery elderly characteristics and activities of daily life for the elderly and the opinion of nursing community Day-care centers about the space. The information is summarized through the elderly’s pension, the behavior of content and the transformation of the workplace and the function space construction and feature of the Day-care centers. The rationalization proposals will be put forward to meet the actual needs of the elderly. This paper established the space of a Day-care center designed to provide a scientific basis that can make the space can truly meet the demand of the elderly of different stages of health life behavior. The paper provide the basis for sustainable home care of the elderly.
