Speed exceeding is an important factor affecting road traffic safety.Speed reduction markings is one of the effective measures to control speed,which is widely used in bends,steep slopes and tunnel entrances.There are abundant types of existing pavement markings to control speed,but the experience component of selection is large.And most of the existing studies focus on the parameter design of the markings and the effect evaluation of single type markings.There are few studies on the application effect evaluation of different types of the markings,and there are some shortcomings such as subjective evaluation method and single evaluation index,which make it difficult to effectively guide the rational selection and scientific setting of speed reduction markings.Firstly,the paper investigates the application status of various kinds of speed reduction markings at home and abroad,and chooses the transverse line,the peripheral transverse line and the converging chervon markings as the preliminary schemes of the speed reduction markings at the entrance of the highway tunnel according to the extensiveness and effectiveness of the application.Referring to the principle of setting speed reduction markings at home and the engineering application cases abroad,some parameters of the converging chervon markings are selected.Based on the Uc-win/road driving simulation platform,the final scheme of parameter design of converging chervon markings satisfying driver's static and dynamic visual perception is determined by questionnaire survey.Then,combined with the parameter design scheme of the transverse line and peripheral transverse line in China,three kinds of speed reduction markings are carried out with the speed of 80 km/h,100 km/h,the expected speed of 60 km/h,70 km/h,80 km/h and 90 km/h.Based on the simulation of deceleration effect at the entrance of a two-way 4/6 Lane Expressway Tunnel at 30 m,60m and 90 m,the optimal setting distance of deceleration marking at the entrance of the tunnel is put forward.Combined with the effectiveness and safety of the markings,visual distance,vehicle speed reduction rate and deceleration rate are selected,and the weighted RSR comprehensive evaluation method based on AHP is used to evaluate the speed reduction markings under the optimal setting distance in a clear,night,fogy,rainy and snowy day.The sequence of speed reduction effect and parameter design scheme of three kinds of speed reduction markings at tunnel entrance are put forward.Finally,taking the Diansha Tunnel of Yunnan Wu-Chang-Xun Expressway as the object,considering the the speed reduction effect and the anti-skid effect of the pavement markings at the entrance of the tunnel,following the principle of the speed reduction effect as the main factor and the anti-skid effect,the selection design of the speed reduction marking at the entrance of the Diansha Tunnel is carried out.And the setting method of the speed reduction markings at the expressway tunnel entrance is put forward.This paper makes a comparative study on the speed reduction effect of common speed reduction markings by driving simulation and mathematical analysis,which provides an important basis for the selection of speed reduction markings,enriches the design of domestic converging chervon markings parameters and the evaluation of multi-type speed reduction marking effect,and provides technical support for the safety promotion of highway tunnel entrance.
