The controllable pitch propeller propulsion system is a key component of the ship propulsion.Its normal operation is the guarantee for the ship's safe shipping.Shafting alignment is the guarantee for the normal operation of the controllable pitch propeller propulsion system.According to the ship market and customer demand,need flexibility,multi-operating conditions and low speed,an controllable pitch propeller propulsion system is emerged.The controllable pitch propeller propeller system can be changed without changing the direction of rotation of the main engine and the gear box.The pitch of the blades meets the different sailing requirements of the ship.However,due to the hub weight of the controllable pitch propeller propeller and the complicated operating conditions of the propeller,the impact on the bearing is relatively large.In particular,the bearing of the AFT sterntube bearing and the bearing of the gearbox are often damaged,which affects the life of the equipment and the normal sailing of the ship.In this paper,an engineering example is used to take an example of an controllable pitch propulsion system with a super long shafting system as an example.The process of design and calculation of an controllable pitch propulsion system with a super long shafting is described in detail.The calculation of the strength of the shaft system and the span of the shaft system are introduced in detail.The detailed design of the design shaft and shaft alignment,the shaft alignment dynamic calculation was completed in the calculation process of the shaft alignment,including the propeller design pitch and the 0 pitch of the shafting dynamic calculation,the shafting alignment calculation satisfies the requirements of China Classification Society,and at the same time conducted an effective analysis of relevant parameters based on DNV numerical simulation data.The data study shows that bearing displacement,bearing temperature rise,propeller hydrodynamic force and gear meshing force and other factors affect the shafting alignment system.The factor will have a very large impact.The use of dynamic of the shaft system can better reflect the actual operating conditions of the shaft running system and ensure safe and operation of the shaft system.The article also conducted an optimization analysis of the shaft alignment and tried to reduce one bearing.The analysis results show that the original solution is the optimal cost-effective solution.This article also elaborated on the shafting installation and shafting alignment process.The first is the stern tube bearing lighting process,followed by the propulsion system shafting installation process,and finally the shafting alignment process and the final positioning and installation of the shafting system.The shaft is fully explained the controllable pitch propeller propulsion system installation and shafting alignment process.According to the requirements of the shaft alignment,the shaft jack jacking test was conducted and the jacking data was analyzed in detail.The results showed that the jacking data satisfies the requirements of the shafting alignment report,indicating that the shafting alignment process is reasonable.Through trial,the shafting system runs smoothly and the bearing temperature is normal,which satisfies the design requirements.This shows that the research on the shafting alignment method in this paper is reality.This article belongs to the overall solution for the shafting calculation and shafting alignment of the controllable pitch propeller propulsion system.It contains most of the theoretical issues involved in the shafting alignment calculation process of the controllable pitch propeller propulsion system,as well as the involved in the shafting installation and shafting alignment process.Therefore,as an overall solution method,this article can provide some guidance and help about the controllable pitch propeller propulsion system for the theoretical shafting alignment calculation engineers and installation engineers.
