Controllable-pitch Propeller is referred to as CPP.It can change the propeller pitch according to the change of ship operating condition.Because of the good adaptability of ship navigating conditions,good mobility and maneuverability and control system simple when driven with shaft generator,etc.it has been used more and more widely.It's applications in areas ranging from special ships such as salvage ships,dredgers,ferry,etc.has extended to other large vessels,such as large-scale oil tankers,container vessels,etc.As a part of the ship automation,the controllable-pitch propeller propulsion plant control system has been widely used in the ship,however,due to our late start and less work in this field,production technology of controllable-pitch propeller is almost the introduction of foreign patents and the supporting control system is basically the introduction of advanced-technology from abroad,or ever simply is using the foreign products.With respect to abroad,especially in Northern Europe developed countries,our country seemed to be lagging.Now,the controllable-pitch propeller control system mostly consists of non-CPU chip or discrete components.It is correspond to the level of 60-70 abroad.In order to improve the controllable-pitch propeller control system's level of theory and the ability of research and development and adapting to the development trend of high-speed,large,highly automation,the thesis designs a set of controllable-pitch propeller propulsion plant control system which is basing on researching on the controllable-pitch propeller control system both at home and abroad.The thesis mainly has completed the following works in several aspects:(1)Analyses the characteristics theoretically which is relevant to the control of controllable-pitch propeller:introduces the basic profile about controllable-pitch propeller,analyses the characteristic curve of the diesel engine and the characteristic curve of the propeller and the best matching curve of controllable-pitch propeller,and then analyses the matching about controllable-pitch propeller in a variety of working conditions.(2)Overall designs the control system of controllable-pitch propeller propulsion plant control system to some ship type:including power supply,the safety and control system,local control station,manoeuvring and instrument panel,auxiliary control system and interfaces;focuses on the design of the CPP remote control system, including the overall structural design,functional design,the bridge and engine control room panel design,the design of speed control,pitch control and load control design.(3)Design the CPP propulsion control system from the hardware and software: hardware design includes the analysis of control needs,overall hardware design,as well as the independent part design;software design includes the overall design of software,as well as the program design for pitch,speed and load control.
