With Fierce competition in the automotive market,auto components supply companies bear more and more pressure.The OEM require the components supply companies reduce the cost,also they hope the suppliers can reach more flexible delivery service requirement even the order changed Besides,most of the components supply companies have different maturity level on the production planning and control,at the same time,their planning mostly just focus on each process production schedule.All these factors lead to a situation: most of the components companies need to prepare big quantity WIP and finish goods to reach and satisfy the customers' requirement.So auto components supply companies must implementing the optimization of production planning and control to improve their efficiency and reduce the cost.This thesis summarizes the theory and application of production planning and control.From entire supply chain,it analyzes the current status of production planning and control on Company A products and finds out the problems such as planning confusion issue and high inventory.Then the thesis introduces about the implementation of the “Integrated planning in the supply chain management” system.it includes demand planning,capacity planning and allocation,demand capacity check,production and material planning,supplier capacity check.At the same time A product line use the lean tooling such as FIFO,supermarket to optimize the inventory management and achieve obvious good result.All the methods and toolings will be useful when the similar companies do the optimization of the production planning and control.
