Research On The Design Of Plaques In Small Cities Streets In Northern Shaanxi From The Perspective Of Regional Culture

With the globalization of the economy and the continuous development of the information society,the urban streetscapes tend to develop in the direction of convergence,unity and lack of characteristics.The street space is not only a recreational and entertainment venue for residents,but also an important display window for the city,carrying urban characteristics and culture.China's cities have entered a new era of scale development to quality development.The construction of small and medium-sized cities has been steadily advanced,and upgrading the quality of urban living environment has gradually become a new direction for urban development.As a window to show the appearance of the city,the street is naturally the focus of the city's double repair and comprehensive improvement.People-oriented and cultural characteristics have become the basis and theme of the street renewal.The street plaque has a long history,full of urban regional cultural connotation,and can display the characteristics of the city.It is an important part of the urban streetscape environment and an indispensable identification element in the street system.At the same time,it is also the basis for people to recognize street functions and guide daily behaviors,reflecting the inheritance,innovation and development of traditional culture.Its guidance and legibility make it the focus of attention,occupying an important position in the street landscape,and is an important element reflecting the characteristics of the street culture.Highlighting one's personality,lacking holistic thinking and regional cultural thinking are common problems in street plaques.To a certain extent,they destroy and ‘poll' the street environment.In view of this situation,this paper is based on the perspective of regional culture,based on the basic research of street plaque,supported by composition,semiotics and street landscape theory.Through the investigation and summarization of the existing status of the street plaques in the small cities in northern Shaanxi,combined with relevant examples,the composition design method of the street plaque styling and the communication method of the street plaque significance of the semiotics are demonstrated.Finally,the research results were applied to the design practice of the street plaque on the street of Nanbei Street in Yanchuan County.Through the design of street plaques based on composition's line-point elements,color matching principles,and three-dimensional virtual design,it is possible to create a plaque that is harmonious with the street environment,has artistic aesthetic value,and has individual cultural characteristics;Combining regional cultural factors with the three elements of compositional science can reflect regional cultural characteristics;The symbolic identification mechanism can rationally guide and highlight the expression of the street plaque image.The research results of the thesis can be used as a theoretical reference for street plaque design.
