| Automotive industry is highly technology-intensive,with complex division cooperation and enormous investment;this made the vehicle development programme management is a long lead and wide range involved process.From the very beginning of feasibility study,then the programme start,to the programme formal approval and finally launch and deliver to the market,it is necessary for the enterprise to keep highly concerned on the business performance which is delivered by the programme team.The enterprise management team is responsible to control the variant of Business Case in a certain bandwidth,so that the final product would achieve the target set when programme start.The accuracy of target setting is based on the programme management team’s tasks could be fully identified and defined with proper maturation during the strategy phase,and the proper and efficient management processes at variant levels.This thesis took the Model-A programme in C company,analysed the strategy phase based on the PRICE2 methodology.The main contents are:(1)continuously focused on the successful of Business Case and programme description up-to-date;(2)analysis the objectives of Strategy Phase of Model-A vehicle development programme,then make the work plan by using the Product Breakdown Structure tool;(3)analysis the management processes for the Model-A vehicle programme,which are Product Delivery Management at group leader level,Stage Controlling and Stage Boundary Management at vehicle programme management level,and Directing at executive of corporation level.By finishing the practice of Model-A programme,and comparison between the final results versus target setting,the variation was controlled and accepted.Meanwhile,the programme management processes,programme deliverable list and programme governance templates with successful metrics were standardised,this would help to the following programmes implementation and organisation’s standardisation. |
