The important role of SMEs in the national economy cannot be ignored,and most of these SMEs operate in the form of family business.Since the reform and opening up,the first generation of family business have begun to face the problems of the second-generation succession and enterprise development and transformation.As a manufacturing factory in the world,China's small and medium sized export-oriented manufacturing operators should respond to the ever-changing of world political and economic landscape.So conduct strategic of long-term business in the era of “revitalization of manufacturing” is the issue that need to be resolved urgently.X Machinery Co.,Ltd.is located in Dalian Jinzhou Economic Development Zone.It is an export-oriented small-scale machinery family enterprise,mainly providing processing services for construction machinery for cast iron parts and machine tools of tight forging steel parts.The problems faced by it are: low-quality staff,difficulty in recruiting workers;high turnover rates;weak technical knowledge;lack of independent innovation;and imperfect external collaborative innovation mechanisms.The company is currently in a special stage that two generations of operators are work together.The previous generation of operators were the first batch of entrepreneurial college students who came out of state-owned enterprises in the 1990 s.The new generation of operators is who had have received higher education in China and four years of experience in studying abroad.This article will closely combine the actual situation of Company X,use PEST analysis and internal and external factors matrix analysis tools to objectively evaluate the internal and external environmental factors and competitive environment of Company X,and make them into the SWOT strategic analysis matrix;through the full exchange of feedback with the operators,combined with the operator's company development vision,to solve the current problems faced by the company,and to ensure the company's sustainable development.Finally determine its development strategy as follows: automation industry upgrade strategy;diversified business strategy;overseas resource integration and strengthening strategy.
