Honda's variable valve timing and lift electronic control system is the first valve control system that can control valve opening and closing time and lift at the same time.VTEC control solenoid valve,referred to as VTEC valve,is an important part of the system.As the current domestic product is in the imitation stage,most of the related equipment needs to be imported from abroad.In order to provide a reliable test result,we need to develop a reliable and stable VTEC valve performance test system.At the same time,in order to study the relationship between the internal structure of the VTEC valve and its performance,the establishment of a simulation model of the VTEC valve not only can greatly shorten the development cycle,but also reduce the R&D cost.This article analyzes the structure and working principle of the VTEC valve,explains the definition of the seven characteristics of VTEC valve such as switching characteristics,response characteristics,life characteristics,flow characteristics and test methods.From the design point of view,in order to further improve the working performance of the VTEC valve,this paper established a two-dimensional finite element simulation model of the VTEC valve.The influence of parameters such as the number of turns of the coil and the length of the air gap on the switching performance of the VTEC valve is studied,and the influence factors of the individual components on the overall performance of the VTEC valve are determined.At the same time,in order to test the performance parameters of the VTEC valve,this article designs a complete test program.The design of the test system is divided into two parts: hardware and software.The hardware includes hydraulic station module,data acquisition module and drive control module.The hydraulic station module simulates the use environment of the VTEC valve.The data acquisition and drive control module enables real-time acquisition of flow,pressure,and temperature data and control the execution of test actions.The software includes PC program and MCU program.The PC program realizes the control of the entire testing process,the reception,analysis and storage of test data,analyzes the switching characteristics of the VTEC valve from the “electric-flow” perspective.The MCU program realizes the flow,pressure data acquisition,calculation and real-time display,and analyzes the PC instructions to complete various actions through the communication with PC.Finally,through the comparison between the actual test and the simulation data,the influence of different structural parameters on the switching performance of the VTEC valve is analyzed,which provides a theoretical basis for the improvement of the VTEC valve.At the same time,the test and simulation data were jointly analyzed from the four aspects of electro-force-displacement-flow.The results show that the test data and simulation data are basically the same,and the validity and reliability of the test system and simulation parameter settings are verified.The combination of the test system and the simulation model completes the testing and improvement of the VTEC valve.
