Research On Correlation Between Corporate Governance And Social Responsibility Of Energy Company

With the continuous progress of social civilization and public awareness,both domestic and foreign academia and industry have paid more attention to social responsibility,and enterprises have also raised the issue of social responsibility to the strategic level.The healthy and orderly development of enterprises cannot be separated from the effectiveness of corporate governance,which has become a hot topic in academic circles.The high input,high risk and high pollution characteristics of energy enterprises require it to pay more attention to social responsibility in the process of corporate governance.In the process of energy exploitation,the problems like life safety,pollution of groundwater,low recovery rate,all have a negative impact on social stability and sustainable development.Therefore,it is very significant to study the internal relation between corporate governance and social responsibility of energy enterprises.This paper designs the index to measure corporate social responsibility,calculates the positive and negative factors of energy enterprises to society,it is a more scientific and comprehensive evaluation of the different enterprises in the implementation of social responsibility,this paper selects the enterprises which are listed in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock bourse from 2014 to 2016,the samples are from coal,oil,natural gas industry enterprises,the aim is to study the relationship between corporate governance and social responsibility.The empirical results show that there is a significant positive correlation between the number of directors,executive compensation and social responsibility performance.There is a significant negative correlation between the proportion of independent directors,the two roles of the chairman and the general manager,and the performance of social responsibility.There is a positive correlation between the ownership concentration,the number of supervisors and the social responsibility,but it is not significant.In this paper,from the energy companies incentives,supervision and control in the process of corporate governance,permissions,clear optimizing Suggestions in aspects and expect companies to strengthen the positive influence of corporate governance and improve insufficient,promote energy enterprise health sustained development.
