At present,under the impact of informatization and knowledge economy,the engineering cost industry is becoming more and more interdisciplinary,interdisciplinary and comprehensive.However,the knowledge background of industry practitioners is single,and they do not know where to start,what to learn and how to learn in the face of a large number of knowledge,leading to low learning efficiency and insignificant competency improvement.The competency level of practitioners varies,the lack of cost engineers and other professionals.It has become a major challenge in the industry to point out the learning direction for practitioners,rapidly improve their competencies and cultivate cost engineers to adapt to the new era.Knowledge is the basis for promoting the competency,can only be in use with comprehensive knowledge and practice promoted to personal competency.However,different knowledge will have different influence on the formation of competency,with different sets of knowledge will wait as a result of the type or the individual experience knowledge to create new knowledge,which affects the competency to produce.Therefore,in order to improve the learning efficiency and rapidly improve the competency,it is necessary to solve the problem of knowledge combination learning while solving the knowledge needed by practitioners.This paper takes the knowledge and competency of cost engineers as the research object,establishes the relationship between knowledge and competency,analyzes the effect of different knowledge combinations on competency transformation,and seeks the optimal knowledge combination path.Considering the cost engineer may vary both at home and abroad,this paper by analyzing the United States,Britain,Hong Kong,Asia Pacific region,Canada and China the cost engineer of knowledge and competency to get the general requirements.On this basis,the knowledge and competency factors of cost engineers are identified in combination with the work content,management methods,undergraduate education guidelines of cost engineers in China,and the knowledge and competency indicator system is constructed respectively through literature review and expert consultation for supplement and verification.Secondly,a questionnaire was designed according to the index system to investigate the demands for knowledge and competency of cost engineers in the industry practice,and a total of 126 valid questionnaires were obtained.Based on the questionnaire data,factor analysis was used to reduce dimensions,and the knowledge structure and competency system of cost engineers were constructed.Then,based on the knowledge transformation theory and the black box theory,the "black box model" is established between knowledge and competency,with knowledge as input and competency as output.Useing the data envelopment analysis method to calculate the conversion efficiency of different knowledge input downforce competency,and the knowledge combination optimization path can be obtained by comparing the effect of the efficiency change.The study found that the combination of different knowledge according to the following path to increase the efficiency of the best effect:(1)Economic and financial knowledge→Cost professional knowledge→Project management knowledge→Engineering technology knowledge;(2)Cost professional knowledge →Economic and financial knowledge→Project management knowledge→Engineering technology knowledge;(3)Engineering technical knowledge→Cost professional knowledge→Economic and financial knowledge→proj--ect management knowledge;(4)Project management knowledge→Cost professional knowledge→Economic and financial knowledge→Engineering technology knowledge.Finally,the paper further discusses the reasons for the formation of knowledge combination optimization path by scenarios,and provides scientific learning Suggestions for practitioners with different knowledge backgrounds.This paper constructs the knowledge structure and competency system of cost engineer,explores and analyzes the path of knowledge combination optimization,provides learning direction and path for cost practitioners,helps to improve learning efficiency,promotes competency improvement,grows into an excellent cost engineer rapidly,and provides reference for practitioners to improve their own competency.
