Medical services are related to the health protection of residents. The differences in the allocation of medical service facilities between different regions affects the balance of regional facility resources distribution and the quality of service of facilities. In order to show the status and distribution of the supply and quality of medical service facilities, this article discusses the evaluation methods of urban medical service facility allocation in Yangpu District of Shanghai, calculates the satisfaction and spatial accessibility of its medical facilities configuration. Some suggestions are presented for the rational allocation of medical service facilities, which was a great significance for the future optimization of urban medical service facilities. The main research content includes two parts.First, based on the PLS-SEM method, the satisfaction model was constructed by setting ‘the residents' expectations for medical service facilities in the region'(RE)as an exogenous structural variable, and ‘the hardware quality of the facilities perceived by the residents'(QP),‘the software quality of the facilities perceived by the residents'(SP),‘residents' satisfaction with medical service facilities in the region'(SAT),‘residents' complaints about medical service facilities in the region'(RC),and‘residents' trust in medical service facilities in the region'(RT)as endogenous structural variables. The overall satisfaction of residents with urban medical service facilities in Yangpu District are evaluated and the correlation between structural variables, structural variables and their corresponding observed variables are explained based on analysis of parameter calculation and calculation results. At last, reasonable suggestions for improving residents' satisfaction level were proposed based on the results of satisfaction index.Second, based on GIS technology, the potential model was improved with the population size factor and the scale factor of the medical facility scale by considering the urban road integrated network combining ground transportation and rail transit, which could measure the spatial accessibility of the medical service facilities inYangpu District.Main conclusions are as follows:The satisfaction evaluation results showed that ‘RE' was more significant for‘QP',‘SP'and ‘SAT',‘QP' was more significant for ‘SAT' and ‘SAT'was more significant for ‘RT'.The calculation results satisfied the relationship hypothesis between the structural variables, and the correlation between other structural variables was relatively weak.Generally speaking, the residents of Yangpu District were basically satisfied with the status of medical service facilities in the district. The scores of ‘SP ‘were higher than those of ‘QP'.The follow-up treatment and supervision of medical dissatisfaction had lower scores and had greater room for improvement. The results of the spatial accessibility evaluation indicated that there were differences in the spatial accessibility distribution of medical service facilities in various subdistricts. The accessibility in Daqiao Subdistrict,Dinghai Road Subdistrict and the partial areas of Yinxing Subdistrict was relatively high. Some subdistricts in the central part of Yangpu District had adjacent hospitals in the same level and relatively concentrated medical resources. The accessibility of residents in tertiary hospitals was better than that of secondary and primary hospitals. The improved potential model can more appropriately evaluate the accessibility of medical facilities, which takes into account the impact of population in demands, the travel impedance between residential area and medical facilities, and the influence of medical facilities grade on residents' choice of medical treatment.By analyzing the spatial characteristics of the satisfaction and spatial accessibility distribution of medical service facilities in different regions, the regional differences from both subjective and objective aspects can be integrated. The results can provide scientific basis for policy development of medical facility construction and urban medical service facility resource optimization configuration.
