In recent years,with the development of the shipping industry and the high-tech of ships,the research on the occupational pressure of seafarers has received increasing attention from researchers in various countries.China is a big maritime country,and the crew is not only the main body of China’s marine industry but also the foundation of the shipping industry.Paying attention to seafarers,investigating seafarers’ work stressors and stress status can not only make up for the shortcomings of current seafarers’ work stress research,but also provide space for social work to improve the seamen’s ability to resist pressure and promote the stability of seafarers’ occupations.This paper uses the sociological research methods such as literature method,questionnaire method and interview method to study the main work stress sources of seafarers and the subjective feelings and pressure coping styles of seafarers’ pressures at different levels.On this basis,the questionnaire data Through empirical analysis such as factor analysis,mean analysis and differential analysis,it is found that the main factors causing seafarers’ work pressure are the working environment factors on board and the seafarers’ career development factors;among the various factors that cause seafarers to generate work pressure,they have the greatest impact on the operational level seafarers.The most important factor is the seafarers’ career development factors;the most important to the support level seafarers,the most important is the ship’s working environment factors;the seafarers’ subjective pressure and pressure coping styles are significant in the demographic characteristics such as sea age and position.Sexual differences,management-level seafarers face the most stress compared to operational and support-level seafarers.After understanding the current situation of seafarers’ work pressure,based on the social learning theory,the group work method was used to carry out the task group activities for the management team members to relieve the pressure on seafarers,and to evaluate the process and effect of the group activities.By summarizing the group activities,we put forward several suggestions for the work pressure of the seafarers from the government,enterprises and families,including providing career planning for seafarers,smoothing the career promotion channels for seafarers,increasing the propaganda of the maritime profession,and promoting the society.Cognition;carry out seafarers’ decompression activities,enrich seafarers’vacation life,etc.,to complete the research.
