Design And Application Of Traditional Courtyard Imagery In Contemporary Low-rise Residential Buildings

Since the ancestors built their caves and the houses rose to the ground,the enclosed·courtyards have a unique cultural attraction,and thus become the basic spatial organization for thousands of years.At the moment when housing homogeneity is serious,the courtyard space can once again become an important medium for returning to the Chinese aesthetic tradition and cultural charm.How to use the courtyard to reflect the excellent residential space effect under the modern design background has become a problem worth studying.This paper focuses on the courtyard space and attempts to discuss its design strategies and practices in contemporary low-rise residential buildings.Starting from the development of traditional architecture courtyards,the article traces its early origins and historical evolution,analyzes the basic spatial characteristics of the courtyards under the influence of traditional outlook on life,values and worldviews,and understands them through the study of the traditional courtyard space plane organization model.The rationality and practical value of the source as a residential element.Then,from the table and the inside,we will explore the treatment methods of the various elements of the courtyard from the four aspects of function,vision,interface and artistic conception.After initially grasping the inheritance of the courtyard space,the article further discusses the understanding,expansion and application of this traditional architectural element in contemporary housing,including the analysis of its contemporary functions and cultural values,based on its spatial characteristics.The understanding of the theory,and break through the shackles of style research,from the perspective of typology,the induction model of contemporary courtyard houses is summarized,and the characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of each model are briefly analyzed.Finally,from the outside to the inside,explain the impact and effect of the courtyard on the functional space of contemporary residences.Based on the above analysis,the article selects three representative and regional characteristics of courtyard residential design examples in the Yangtze River Delta region to provide an overview of the case and analysis of the courtyard space,using relevant drawings,illustrations and real-life photographs to summarize the courtyard design techniques.And use strategies to explore ways to achieve the quality of traditional homes in modern low-rise homes.The foundation of this paper is the profound influence of traditional courtyard space on the development of Chinese housing,and believes that courtyard space can be an effective way to solve the lack of originality problems in today’s Chinese social housing.On the basis of investigation and research,the contemporary value of courtyard space and the active integration and transformation of contemporary courtyard space,the diversified development of courtyard space in contemporary low-rise residences becomes more and more clear,making the inheritance and revival of traditional residence culture based on courtyard space.The goal of development is more likely.
