At the National Conference in 2017,the Chinese government will build Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as the focus of the national development strategy. The key ports of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area mainly include Hong Kong Special Administrative Region,Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and other ports such as Zhuhai City,Humen City,Huizhou City,Shantou City and Zhanjiang City, which are economically reformed and open advantages and policy advantages. As an important part of the Bay Area port group,Shenzhen container port is extremely important for the development of Shenzhen container port in the face of the increasing inter-port competition in the Bay Area.Firstly,in order to better carry out research on the competitiveness of container ports, this paper introduces the background and significance of the research, under the background of the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the reason for the slow growth of Shenzhen container ports is worth studying, and reviewing the status quo of research at home and abroad, and systematically understand the research status of port competitiveness at home and abroad. Before the construction of the evaluation indicators, the concept and content of the container port and container port competitiveness will be clearly defined, which will help to understand the research objects.Secondly,it analyzes the development status and competitive factors of Shenzhen container port.In order to analyze the evaluation results more purpose, first introduce the development status of Shenzhen container ports, including the port's profile, the current status of the port's current competitiveness, and the port's existing development issues package, the status quo analysis clarifies the advantages and existing problems of Shenzhen container ports, the analysis of the main influencing factors provides the basis for the construction of the next evaluation index system.Thirdly, through referring to the relevant literature on a large number of port competitiveness,I have determined the principles for the construction of scientific and reasonable evaluation indicators. On the basis of the construction principle, combined with the actual situation of Shenzhen container port and the main influencing factors of port competitiveness, the corresponding container port competitiveness evaluation index system is constructed. The evaluation index system constructed includes four first-level indicators, namely hardware foundation, operational capability, direct hinterland conditions and potential for development, and 20 secondary indicators, namely geographical location, annual working days, minimum navigation guaranteed water depth, channel width, container berth quantity, yard area, container throughput, loading and unloading efficiency, collection and distribution capacity, port service level, port rate, number of container routes, total import and export trade, urban GDP,tertiary industry, national policy intensity, container throughput growth rate, urban GDP growth rate, import and export trade volume growth rate, government support. The analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weights of each index of the evaluation index system, and the competitiveness evaluation of Shenzhen container port is carried out based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Finally, according to the evaluation results of Shenzhen container port competitiveness, the corresponding container improvement measures for Shenzhen container ports are proposed, including optimizing the hardware base of Shenzhen container ports, improving the operating conditions of Shenzhen container ports, focusing on port cooperation and external resource integration, and strengthening its own advantages to promote transformation, and summarize conclusions and research prospects.
