Study On The Evolution Of The Town System In Licheng County In Modern Times

The historical study of the town system has an important basic supporting role in the implementation of national strategies such as rural revitalization and the preparation of related plans.Based on the analyzing framework of the modern county-level towns and towns system,this paper takes Licheng County in Shandong Province as an example to analyze the evolution characteristics and influencing factors of the functions,ranks and spatial structure of the county-level towns and towns system in the four periods of modern times.Several conclusions are formed as below:(1)The analyzing framework of the research framework of the county-level town system in Licheng in modern times.Through a thorough understanding of the relevant theories of the town system,this paper proposes a modern county-level town system operating system that is cut in from the three aspects of the town function combination,grade scale,and spatial structure.Among them,it includes the county-level town and town function combination type system based on political,economic,cultural and other factor analysis,and the county-level town and town level scale system based on population size,postal grade,transportation conditions,town construction and scale factor analysis.The modern spatial structure system of counties and towns in modern counties based on the analysis of town nodes,linear traffic connections and natural geographical environment elements.(2)In modern times,the functional combination of Licheng county and town developed from single to multiple,showing a trend of regional integration,usually led by the strengthening of economic functions,and then led to the emergence of education,culture,religion and other functions.Before the opening of the port,the urban area was the comprehensive functional center of the county.After the opening of the port,the economiccenter gradually transferred to the commercial port area.Many traditional commercial towns also had functional reconstruction in the wave of modernization in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.In particular,from 1929 to 1937,Longshan Town,Zhonggong Town,Xiying Town,zhangjialin town and other characteristic handicraft industry and commodity distribution towns not only developed into comprehensive towns with administrative functions,but also promoted the development of their own transportation,culture,education,religion and other functions.(3)In modern times,the number of towns in Licheng county showed an increasing trend,and the scale level became more and more abundant with the advancement of modernization.The number structure of four levels of towns,namely,higher level,center level,standard level and grass-roots level,changed from 1:4:15:27 to 3:10:42:47.Among them,the higher cities and towns as regional centers have changed from urban districts to "?" regional center network composed of urban districts,commercial districts and Luokou;the central towns as regional sub-centers have changed from Luokou,Wangsheren,Longshan Town,Zhonggong Town before the establishment of commercial port area,became Wangsheren,Guodian,Yaoqiang,Liubu,Xiying,Jiaojiaji,Laosengkou,Longshan Town,Dangjiazhuang;meanwhile,standard towns and grassroots cities The number of towns is also increasing,and the changes around higher towns and central towns are constantly evolving.(4)The spatial structure of the system of towns and towns in Licheng County in modern times has undergone a process of structural evolution of the inverted "T" shape-"?" shape-"five-axis three-core"-"six-axis three-center ten-node".The centrality of urban areas,commercial ports,Luokou and other nodes is prominent,and the main roads,rivers,and railway axes within the county area play a significant role.At the same time,the spatial distribution of cities and towns in Licheng County showed the characteristics of north-south,south-central,north-central,and north-eastern clusters.The center of gravity shifted from the border area north of the county to the central Dongjiazhuang area toward the urban area and commercial area.Especially after the opening of Jinan,the distribution pattern of cities and towns in Licheng County developed from point-like and bead-like to cluster-like clusters,reflecting the spatial expansion characteristics of the modern city-town system of LichengCounty from point to line to surface.In addition,the boundaries of regional service areas formed by municipalities have also developed from non-closed and incomplete to closed polygons.
