Research On Living Street Landscape Renewal From The Perspective Of Place Theory

The living street is an important public space in the city,which has traffic function and urban landscape function.With the rapid development of the city,many old streets can no longer meet people's growing demand for a better life.Therefore,it is urgent to upgrade these streets.Based on the place theory,this paper uses the questionnaire survey method and the Public Space &Public Life Survey method to establish the evaluation system of living street landscape from three aspects of street space characteristics,crowd activities and landscape elements.And taking Shangcheng road in Zhengzhou as an example,the paper puts forward the strategies of landscape transformation and upgrading,namely,changing the design objects of streets;creating positive space;diversifying the activity places;enriching the plant configuration of street space;increasing public facilities and ground pavement;injecting cultural elements to create street features.In order to enhance the vitality of urban streets,this study constructs the investigation and evaluation system of living street landscape,which provides ideas and reference for the transformation and upgrading of urban street landscape.
