There are many ancient towns with rich cultural connotations in the vast land of our country,which is vast in territory,thick in history.They are an important part of our cultural heritage,witnessing and bearing the profound culture and long history of our country.With its distinct regional and historical value,ancient town has become an important element to reflect and constitute multi culture.Huangchuan County,known as Guangzhou in ancient times,is located in the hinterland of Dabie Mountain and the Huaihe River.It has been influenced by the Central Plains culture,Chu culture and Huizhou culture since ancient times,and has given birth to a unique city style.Since the establishment of Yiyang County in the Western Han Dynasty,the city has been developing and expanding.After two thousand years of construction,it was upgraded to Zhili Prefecture in the Qing Dynasty,and became the political,economic and cultural center of Southeast Henan.In terms of urban form,the city develops from south to north,forming a unique "Lu" urban pattern with one water separated by two cities.The two cities in the north and the south are called "North Chunshen,South Yiyang".As the "origin" of the development of Huangchuan County,the ancient town of Yiyang in the South City has a profound cultural heritage,forming a rare religious and cultural gathering place with five religions in China,which is of great research value.For today’s Huangchuan County,it is an important carrier of urban history and culture.However,with the rapid development of economy and the change of people’s life style,people have demolished the old buildings and built new ones.The traditional buildings of the ancient town have been destroyed or even abandoned,and the historical features have been constantly eroded,completely missing the prosperity andvitality of the past.In view of the problems existing in the value and current situation of Yiyang ancient town,the key point of this paper is to excavate its history and culture,sort out its elements,make clear and make full use of the value of the ancient town,stimulate the vitality of the ancient town,and carry out effective protection and reasonable utilization.This paper selects Yiyang ancient town in the south of Huangchuan County as the research object,and studies it through literature review,field research and other methods,mainly including the historical and cultural excavation of the ancient town,the combing of the elements of the ancient town,the analysis of the spatial form characteristics,the suggestions on the protection and utilization of the ancient town,etc.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part describes the research background,research status and research framework of the paper,and puts forward the research content;the second part summarizes the historical and cultural characteristics of Huangchuan County Based on history,and studies its historical evolution and urban construction history;The third part first investigates the elements and current situation of Yiyang ancient town,and combs the elements of the ancient town from three aspects of natural environment,artificial environment and human environment,then analyzes the overall pattern of the ancient town,the skeleton of streets and lanes,the spatial form of residential buildings and summarizes the existing problems;the fourth part summarizes the Yiyang ancient town based on the above analysis results Combined with its relevant planning policies and development goals,this paper puts forward targeted protection planning suggestions that can highlight the characteristics of the ancient town.
