Study On Planning And Design Of Botanic Garden Based On Regional Characteristics

With the development of society,the endless use and demand of human beings have caused serious harm to the natural environment,resulting in serious consequences of unbalanced ecosystems,strained resources,and reduced biodiversity.The botanical garden has gradually developed as a position for species protection,and has made outstanding contributions to the sustainable development of mankind.Due to the increasing awareness of resource crisis and environmental protection,people pay more and more attention to the construction of botanical gardens,coupled with the improvement of social aesthetic standards and the development of science and technology,contemporary botanical gardens also assume more social responsibilities and obligations.At the same time,China’s rapid urbanization process has made most cities look similar.Progress in science and technology has reduced the distance between regions,the speed of cultural transmission has accelerated,and the boundaries have gradually blurred.The characteristics of various regions have tended to be consistent,the city hopes to step out of the standardized construction model and begin to pay attention to the construction of its own regional characteristics,hoping to create unique image features.In this process,the construction goal of the botanical garden gradually changed into regional habitat and plant community protection,paying attention to the display of regional culture and spirit.Today,China proposes to build a beautiful China."Park city" has become the new theme of urban green development in the new era.As an important park green space in the city,the construction of botanical gardens has also ushered in new opportunities.In the past 70 years,China ’s botanical gardens have achieved remarkable results at an alarming rate of construction.However,compared with the botanical garden construction in developed countries,there is still a large gap,facing huge opportunities and challenges.This article takes regional characteristics and botanical garden planning and design as the basic units,focusing on the application value and significance of regional characteristics in botanical garden planning and design.First,the development process and research trends of domestic and foreign botanical gardens are summarized.Secondly,the related concepts,functions,types and regional related concepts of the Botanical Garden are elaborated in detail.On this basis,combined with excellent cases of domestic and foreign botanical garden planning and design,summarizing its planning and design features and lessons for reference.Furthermore,a strategy for planning and designing botanical gardens based on regional characteristics is proposed,and a systematic and detailed discussion is made from five aspects: regional natural characteristics,humanistic characteristics,social and economic characteristics,landscape characteristics and comprehensive expression of regional characteristics.Through the practice of the overall planning and design of Xingtai Botanical Garden,the above research results are targetedly applied to explore the specific operating methods of botanical garden planning and design based on regional characteristics.Finally,some thoughts and prospects for the future development and regional characteristics of botanical gardens are put forward,in an effort to contribute to the construction of China’s botanical gardens.
