Research On The Design And Application Of Shaanxi Folk Art Visual Symbols In Creative Products

Shaanxi province is one of the main birthplaces of Chinese national civilization.On this basis,Shaanxi folk art inherits the unique cultural heritage of national civilization,showing various art forms and magnificent artistic styles.With the continuous development of the society,traditional products have been unable to meet people’s spiritual needs.More and more designers expect to show the cultural spirit in actual product through design.However,due to various reasons,China’s research on the theory of creative product design is not enough,and the level of creative products on the market is uneven,therefore it is necessary to supplement the design theory.Only reasonable design ideas and methods could promote the development of creative product design.The purpose of this paper is to combine traditional folk art symbols with creative products,and to explore the application of Shaanxi folk art visual symbols in creative product design.Firstly,this paper expounds what is Shaanxi folk art visual symbol and explains the concept of creative products and related theory.Then according to the research on the classification method of visual symbols,combining with the characteristics of composition of Shaanxi folk art and elements,conducted a series of discussions and studies on selected folk art forms from similar image symbols,designated symbols,symbolic symbols,material symbols,colour symbols.Furthermore,paper selects typical cases for analysis,through the long-term historical development process of the symbol of the change of thinking,combined with the requirements of modern aesthetics,the visual symbol design application of the method to comb and summarize.Finally,it uses the modern design methods summarized above,the visual symbols of Shaanxi folk art are applied to creative products,and the visual symbol elements of Shaanxi folk art are integrated into a theme creative product design with a designer’s expression style.Therefore,on the basis of meeting the original functional requirements,the product can more diversely meet people’s new needs for creative products in the new era in terms of spiritual demand,and could give more creative historical and cultural significance to creative products,to provide new references for creative product design.
