Environmental and energy issues are becoming more and more serious.Under this background,China's development is more urgently needed to build a resource-saving and environmentally friendly society.The development of new energy has brought new impetus to the development of electric vehicles.Therefore,the current design of electric vehicles has become the mainstream design direction of the automotive industry.At present,most of the existing electric car models in the market are extended to traditional cars,which makes the appearance difference from traditional cars smaller.However,the power source and built-in structure of electric vehicles are far from traditional cars,so that the appearance and built-in structure of most electric vehicles are not highly adaptable.Therefore,electric vehicles need a new design appearance,which can improve the adaptability of the appearance and built-in structure while meeting the basic needs of their body frames,and at the same time enhance the identification of the appearance of electric vehicles.The main problem solved.Semiotics believes that all things in the world can be expressed using symbols,and people's cognition of things is based on the unified process of symbols and social life experience.Therefore,from the perspective of semiotics,this article constructs the electric vehicle modeling symbol communication system,and analyzes the semantics of various design elements of electric vehicles.And from the function and form of the electric vehicle's appearance modeling needs and future development trends.The key part of the research in this paper is to regard electric vehicles as symbols of morphological elements with semantic characteristics,and to construct a communication system for their design symbols.Combining the semantic research of Morris semiotics,analyze the value of each design element in the communication system.By using the semantic difference method,the relationship between the design elements of electric vehicles and the meaning of adjectives is established,the design elements suitable for the style of electric vehicles are extracted and analyzed,and the design strategy is formulated.Use design strategies and semiotic design principles to guide design practice.The final evaluation of the results of design practice can verify the design method of semiotics and guide the feasibility and rationality of electric vehicle styling design.This article studies the shape design of electric vehicles from the perspective of semiotics.The purpose is to explore a new design method for electric vehicles,improve the recognition of the shape of electric vehicles,and make it a product symbol with an independent design style.The research on the design of electric vehicles based on semiotics is innovative and exploratory,and can provide theoretical reference for future related theoretical and practical research.
