Research On Renewal Of Historical And Cultural Blocks From The Perspective Of Space Production

The historical and cultural blocks are witnesses to the historical development of the city and carry the memories of life from generation to generation.However,some historical and cultural blocks have undergone changes over the years,the traditional features have been damaged,and their infrastructure is outdated.They no longer meet the needs of contemporary urban development and residents' lives,and they need to be renewed urgently.As a special urban space,the renewal of historical and cultural blocks is essentially the process of spatial reproduction.From the perspective of space production,historical and cultural blocks integrate material space,spiritual space,and social space into one,which is the result of various factors.In order to clarify the production of space,this article introduces the historical and cultural block of Wenming Street in Kunming as a case to explore the basic logic behind the production of space through the process of updating Wenming Street.In the process of space production in Wenming Street,power takes the government as the power machine,and realizes the discipline of power through laws,policies,and local planning.Capital directly affects the practice of space through the production of material space and the creation of consumption space.While local residents are less involved in the production of space due to the lack of spatial discourse power.Due to the disintegration of power and capital and the imbalance of class power,it affected the spatial production,which led to the deviation of the actual production results from the space characterized by the subjects of all parties.In the end,the living space of Wenming Street was deprived,the original social relations were broken,and the neighborhood lacked vitality.Historical and cultural blocks are closely related to the city's development and cultural memory,so the integrity of the blocks must be effectively protected.Therefore,after clarifying the space production process and existing production dilemmas of Wenming Street,the reproduction of Wenming Street space was proposed.First,we must correctly treat the conflict between street protection andurban development,put publicity and legality of space production in a prominent position,and ensure that everyone has the right to space.Secondly,it emphasizes the shaping of cultural space in Wenming Street,pays attention to the development path of the integration of consumer space into cultural space,and creates a "third space".Thirdly,preserve the living space of local residents.Finally,by establishing the connection between residents and architecture,history and culture,so that their daily life is integrated into the production of space.In this way,to explore how to form a new residents-led space production mode.
