Integration Of Campus Public Space And Wetland In Southern Universities

At the beginning of the 21st century,the number of colleges and universities in China increased and the campus scale expanded.The construction of new colleges and universities entered a period of rapid development,and the site selection of new colleges and universities was transferred from the city center to the suburbs of the city,so that the campus has the site conditions for campus environmental planning.Large area of greening or water surface is prevailing in the campus as the center of the campus spatial structure,but the water body in the campus is mainly used as landscape water body,and its due ecological function has not been reflected.At the same time,in the planning and design of the public space in the campus,the water body is often only used as its background,and the two are not actually combined functionally.Southern rich wetland resources,the new campus of the university are widespread wetland resources in the site selection,it has a good ecological and landscape resources,in today’s attaches great importance to the ecological environment,the general will be protected and organization to the campus outside space,which laid a foundation for campus expand public space,its openness,the landscape is very beneficial to the public space activities.On the other hand,the campus public space,its openness,externality,also has the potential to develop the ecological function,both have the common characteristics,can support each other,so the combination of the two can be integrated design.This paper starts from the commonness of the two,takes ecological priority as the principle,and carries out an integrated study on the premise of not reducing the ecological attributes of the wetland system,in an attempt to realize the ecological environment protection of the campus wetland and the campus public space to be easy to use,symbiosis and win-win,to achieve the goal of system perfection and optimization,to form a rich and diverse,beautiful environment.The research process of this paper is as follows:First summarizes the relevant concepts and theories,the south campus ofcolleges and universities case screening and research,starting from the commonness of public space and the wetland,the use of public space and public activities related theory,the function of wetland theory,case study,from the public space and wetland layout integration,integration,integration of nodes were studied.Summarize the advantages and discard the disadvantages to form a pattern.Taking the Xiamen campus of Huaqiao University as an example,this paper tries to make an integrated design scheme of public space and wetland,and tries to expand and improve the campus public space system and efficiency.Through the comparison between the design scheme and the current situation,the paper verifies the principle of public space and integrated design in southern universities.
