As the urbanization process enters a stage of increasing quality and decreasing speed,urban renewal is becoming the main direction of urban development.The historical villages located in the center and peripheral areas of Guangzhou have long faced a sharp contradiction between protection and renewal.Unlike ordinary villages,these villages are a combination of history and modernity.They retain a certain number of historical buildings and are mixed with a large number of modern buildings.They have both traditional folk customs and modern social life.Therefore,how to balance the relationship between the two and solve the complex problems in the protection and renewal of historical villages in the context of urban renewal has become an urgent task for this subject.Based on the current severe situation,this article takes Hengsha Village in Huangpu District,Guangzhou as the research object,and conducts in-depth and detailed research on the historical profile,historical geography and changes,spatial form,current status and value evaluation of Hengsha Village,using architecture,urban design,urban renewal,historical and heritage conservation,and other multidisciplinary knowledge,drawing on domestic practical case experience,discussing the strategies of historical village protection and renewal in the context of urban renewal,and proposing suitable strategies for the protection and renewal planning of Hengsha Village.In order to enrich the theoretical system for the protection and renewal of historical villages.The full text is divided into six chapters.The first chapter,introduction.Clarified the research background,research objects and related concepts,research progress at home and abroad,research purpose and significance,research methods and framework.The second chapter mainly studies the historical geography,changes,spatial forms and characteristics of hengsha village.This paper analyzes the formation process of hengsha village from the perspective of historical geography,and reveals the hidden social connotation of hengsha shuxiang street.The spatial form and characteristics of hengsha village are analyzed from four parts: village texture,street form,water system and public space.The third chapter is to sort out the current status of Hengsha Village,and use scientific methods to evaluate the value.Chapter 4 starts from the two fields of urban renewal and protection of historical villages,and discusses strategies for the protection and renewal of historical villages.Combing the relevant theories in the field of urban renewal and historical village protection at home and abroad,taking the analysis of the ancient city of Nantou in Shenzhen and Taikoo Li in Chengdu as examples,establish an interactive mechanism between urban renewal and protection of historical villages,and propose strategies for the protection and renewal of historical villages in the context of urban renewal.The fifth chapter is the protection planning research of Hengsha Shuxiang Street.Defined the scope of Hengsha village protection planning,combed Hengsha village protection and utilization status,put forward protection principles,protection content,protection methods and strategies;carried out protection planning on the overall spatial pattern,buildings and intangible cultural heritage of the village Discussion.The sixth chapter is the research on the renewal plan of Hengsha Village.Based on the current situation of hengsha village,this paper proposes the goal and strategy of updating the planning,which is discussed from six aspects: the renewal of existing buildings,the shaping of new buildings,the implantation of multiple functions,the mending of transportation network,the construction of ecosystem and the improvement of infrastructure.
