Research On Connectivity Of Regional Airports Considering Passenger Transfer

As an important public transportation infrastructure to improve regional accessibility,regional airports play an important role in reducing regional transportation gaps and promoting coordinated development of regional transportation,however,due to the influence of geographical location,regional economic development and operating characteristics,the connectivity of regional airports is unique.The hub transfer of regional passengers is an important reflection of the connectivity of regional airports.The measurement of connectivity for passenger transfer will be more in line with the operating characteristics of regional airports,and it will provide a more effective decision-making reference for the optimization and improvement of regional airport connectivity.In view of this,connectivity of regional airports considering passenger transfer are studied.Firstly,the concepts related to the connectivity of regional airports are defined,the relevant theoretical basis and research status are sorted out.Secondly,by calculating the centrality and accessibility index values of airports in China’s aviation network,the characteristics of regional airport connectivity are analyzed.And the evolution mechanism of regional airport connectivity based on airline network,the influence of passenger transfer on its evolution process,and the key influencing factors of connectivity are analyzed.Then,based on passenger transfer factors,assumptions are made regarding the technical parameters of passenger transfer,and a measurement model for the connectivity of regional airports is constructed.Finally,the constructed model is used to measure the connectivity of regional airports in China,the results show that the indirect connectivity after passenger transfer is an important component of the connectivity of regional airports;Regional airports with high transfer connect quality values are mostly distributed in the western and northeast regions in China,and the transfer connection quality index of regional airports in Yunnan province are highest.The northeast region of China has poor direct connectivity,and the indirect connectivity of the eastern and central regions needs to be improved.The transfer of passengers has improved the average level of accessibility of regional airports,but the average accessibility of regional airports in the western region has decreased.
