The wood I-joist with web opening is conducive to the installation of electric, hydraulic and pneumatic pipes, etc.,which can increase the indoor available height, and also help reduce the cost of the normal layout of pipelines. This research major in wood I-joist with different web opening.Using different hole to depth ratios, different opening positions, and different numbers of openings as variables, theoretical calculations are performed based on the research results to obtain this type of wood I-joist,get the calculation formula of the peak load and maximum shear load capacity of the wood I-joist with web opening, and analysis of load design value and load experiment value. Finally, using ABAQUS,Finite element models to insure the research result,in conclusion:(1)As the hole to depth ratios decreases, the position of the opening continuously changes below the loading point. The peak load, yield load, ultimate load, and energy consumption of wood I-joist increase to varying degrees; The ductility coefficient is constantly decreasing. In the case of the same opening area, the wood I-joist with four holes that hole to depth ratios of 0.3 have better peak load, yield load, ultimate load, initial stiffness, and energy consumption than the wood I-joist with two holes that hole to depth ratios of 0.45,except the ductility coefficient.(2)By the theoretical analysis of wood i-joist with web openings, and the conclusion is drawn: the standard and a scholar's paper's shear capacity formula is suitable for the calculation of this experiment;the peak load of the wood i-joist with web openings proposed Load calculation formula, the error between the calculated value and the experiment value is small;after calculation and comparison, this type of wood i-joist meets the safety requirements(3)According to the results of the finite element model, under the same load, the ratio of the hole to the depth becomes lower. The closer the hole is to the load point, the greater the number of holes, the less obvious the concentration of stress around the hole, and the easier the specimen to failure; The simulated deformation, peak load and stiffness are in good agreement with the test values, indicating that the model is suitable.
