With the rapid growth in the number of vehicles,traffic accidents inevitably happen more and more frequently and hence users concern more and more in the safety and reliability issues of automobiles.Due to the increased complexity in the automotive electronic systems,accurate and reliable evaluation of the stability of these system modules has become an important problem to be solved in the automotive industry.Traditional monitoring method of airbag control unit requires manual operation test in accurate time,which is not only inefficient but also inaccurate enough.In order to meet the test requirements of high quality and high efficiency,in viewpoint of reliable testing,this thesis developed an automated test platform based on Lab VIEW software to solve the functional test and parameter monitoring issues of the airbag control unit.The main work of this thesis is as follows:First,the hardware platform was constructed along with the design of each module of it.In order to simulate the load of airbag control unit,the external signal module,external sensors module,ignition circuit module,switch module and power circuit module were designed on the circuit load board;In the data acquisition module,upon connecting the electronic matrix card with the power channel and CAN communication channel of the test samples,the parameter monitoring of test samples was realized.By capturing the data of ignition voltage with data acquisition equipment,the function test of airbag control unit was performed;In the climate chamber trigger signal detection module,the communication between the test software and the climate chamber was implemented by means of the RS-232 port.Second,the test software was designed based on the Lab VIEW.The software includes: the human-computer interface module,the configuration module,the executive module,and the report module.Upon analyzing the working flow of the parametric monitoring software,the detailed design of the aforementioned modules was implemented.During the programming process for the ignition module of the airbag control unit,a highly reliable ignition voltage acquisition method was proposed.Upon the design of the diagnostic CAN transmission protocol,the airbag control unit can communicate directly with the test software.Finally,the whole verification system was evaluated whose results show that,the automated test platform could carry out the test operation quickly.Compared with the traditional test method,the efficiency of operation time can be improved by 200%.The automated test platform could capture test data accurately and reliably.The test platform was written based on the Lab VIEW software.It has advantages in visibility and human-machine interface.The tester can not only fill in the test content according to the project information for generating test report,but also configure the module parameters according to the test requirements.At the same time,each test state in the test process can be displayed real-timely on the device screen.The test procedure can be interrupt by push down the stop button whenever any problem occurs.This test platform has been applied in the actual testing environment of automobile industries.
