Under the background of rapid urbanization construction and urban planning,Chinese cities are developing continuously and rapidly, and the relevant theoretical research and application practice of urban form have achieved great development in a short time. However,at the same time, urban structure disorder, disordered urban form and rapid and rough expansion have become common phenomena in cities at the present stage. In this special period of development, this thesis takes megacities as the research object. The high complexity of the morphological structure of megacities generally covers the general characteristics and rules of urban morphologies in the mature stage. At the same time, this thesis takes the big data of the architectural space of megacities as the data basis for quantitative research,to explore the common characteristics hidden behind the complex morphology of megacities, and to provide relevant theories and references for the healthy development of cities in the process of transformation and development. This thesis takes the hierarchy of the morphological characteristics of megacities as the research logic. On the basis of defining the objects of megacities,it first sorts out the intuitive characteristics of the morphological characteristics of megacities according to the threedimensional characteristics of spatial data, which can be intuitively described by the data itself.Secondly, through the quantitative calculation, statistics, fractal, topological deformation and other secondary calculation and processing of spatial data, the surface characteristics of megacity morphology are analyzed. Then, the generality of urban morphological features implied by surface features is abstracted and summarized to obtain the deep feature of megacity morphology--the morphological prototype of megacity and its constituent elements, and each kind of element is classified, graded and precisely quantified according to its characteristics. Finally, this thesis summarizes the above research conclusions to construct the prototype system of megacity morphology, and generalizes and deduces the prototype and subtype structure of megacity morphology from bottom to top through the prototype generation of each megacity morphology.Overall, this study based on the digital technology,a return to traditional urban material space form research, try to use the high-precision quantitative research method and inductive megacities form the common characteristic of law and constructing form prototype, implementation methods, measures and results of innovation: the city characteristic is divided into intuitive features, surface characteristics and deep mining under the characteristics of each type contains specific contents and analysis method; The quantitative research of urban morphology supported by big data makes accurate description and definition of various characteristics of urban morphology,so as to realize the quantitative exploration of the original inner model of urban morphology and its constituent characteristics.Summarizes the common features of urban form contains rules and explore the possible existence of urban form prototype structure and the element type,in large measure data accurately analysis and quantitative grading method of elements and precisely define the boundary and the internal order of the elements of the prototype of the morphological quantitative indicators, reveals the internal influence mechanism and the spatial evolution of urban spatial form.As a type of city with the most diverse morphological levels and the most complex structural relations among all cities of different sizes, megacities are worthy of further exploration in the following studies in terms of sorting out the research context, other dimensional elements of the prototype and the in-depth study of urban cases.
