Since the country's reform and opening-up,the consumption patterns of urban citizens in our country have undergone rapid changes.Through the continuous extension and upgrading of the consumption system,the “consumption” that has solidified in our cities,buildings and public life has become a context of consumer culture.As a representative of vital architectural types in the rapid urbanization process since the reform and opening-up,the urban complex has an inseparable relationship between its spatial design and the context of consumer culture.At present,the research of urban complex space design mostly focuses on disassembling each part of the space for separate analysis and comprehensive discussion,lacking the logical combing and evolution research from the overall perspective.This thesis starts from the two paths of consumer culture context characteristics and urban complex space design,trying to grasp the evolution mechanism and factors of urban complex space design in the context of consumer culture,and exploring the urban complex space design based on the fundamental demands of future consumer culture trends.Firstly,this thesis discusses the current situation of the increasingly close relationship between urban complex and urban life in the context of consumer culture,and emphasizes the importance of discussing the space design of urban complex in the context of consumer culture.Then,along the development time frame of China's consumer culture context,a lot of research on urban complex cases from the space features,space combination form,and space using aspects carry on the comparative analysis and argument.As a control group,China's Hong Kong urban complex space design is a comparative study within the time frame of the urban complex space design parallel comparison.Based on the similarity and foresight between the overall development trends of urban complex space design in Hong Kong,China and that in mainland China,the spatial design and development of urban complex in the context of consumer culture are summarized in three aspects: physical form,development and operation,and spatial interaction.Corresponding to the development of space design at these three aspects,this thesis holds that the motivation of urban complex space design in the context of consumption culture lies in three factors: consumption value,consumption interest and consumption channels.Finally,in combination with the above-mentioned factors,the latest development of urban complex space design and the development trend of Hong Kong,it is proposed that in the context of consumer culture,the future urban complex space design should follow the design principles of pluralism,reflexivity and openness,and specific design strategies are given.
