Compensation is an important means for enterprises to attract,retain and motivate employees,as well as an important tool to achieve strategic objectives.G Electric Power Company is a state-owned enterprise engaged in power supply and electrical engineering.The current compensation system has not been recognized by employees,nor can it achieve the purpose of motivating employees.Therefore,this paper aims to improve the employee satisfaction and motivation of compensation,and promote the achievement of strategic objectives by optimizing the compensation system of midlevel and common employees.Firstly,this paper reviews the research status of compensation and compensation administration,introduces the basic theories of economics,psychology and management about compensation,clarifies the research background,research content and research methods,and provides the theoretical basis and research significance for the research of this paper.Secondly,through the introduction of G Electric Power Company's business status,human resources status and compensation system status,combined with questionnaire survey,statistics and analysis,this paper diagnoses and evaluates the current compensation system of G Electric Power Company,and finds that there are insufficient internal alignment,unreasonable pay level,poor incentive effect and unreasonable compensation mix.And the reasons are analyzed.Thirdly,according to the theory of strategic compensation administration,the compensation system is optimized.Emphasis is laid on the establishment of a position-based compensation system,which fully reflects the difference between employee's competence and performance.The market-match compensation level is determined,the compensation mix is optimized,the flexible welfare plan is set up,and the compensation management system is improved.Finally,in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the compensation system,this paper puts forward safeguard measures from three stages: preparation,implementation and feedback.
