The rapid development of the city is closely connected with the continuous improvement of the economy;the continuous improvement of national economy depends on the development of heavy industry. The direct energy needed for the development of heavy industry is non-renewable resources, and it's actually a kind of destruction to nature to over exploit non-renewable resources.Development of mining cities needs coal resources as a driving force so that the demands for coal resources become increasingly bigger. In order to accelerate the progress of rapid development of China's urbanization, mining industry plays an indispensable role for economic development. At present, near 70% of large and medium-size mining areas built in the middle of the 20 th century have entered the recession stage after more than ten years of mining and the environment condition in these "senile" mining areas has become a thorny problem in the progress of urban development, such as geological environment degradation, resource exhaust and insufficient resource reserve, etc.Mineral resources are non-renewable resources, which means that the total amount of mineral resources will have gradually decreased as time goes by.According to statistics, the number of mining areas still working hard is expected to be less than 20% by 2020.It is shown in one data report that 8,079 mining areas in China were “laid off” and quit mining production stage in just three years, from 2005 to 2007.Even worse,80% of remaining mining cities in China will face a problem that resources will be ultimate "extinction”.All data reports show that there will be a larger number of mining areas to be shut down cruelly in coal mining industry. As a result, mining exploitation in a large scale is bound to cause a series of environmental problems, such as idling original industrial land, life rubbish in mining areas without treatment, severe soil pollution, loss of ability to grow plants, ecosystem imbalance, industrial transformation, etc. This article begins with a research point of harsh environment condition at present stage in the abandoned mining areas of Pingdingshan seven mine, this paper adopts five research methods including field investigation and analysis, literature research and analysis, inductive analysis, case study and comparative analysis.By combining spot investigations, spot pictures and site information from surrounding residents with relevant records including but not limited to natural environment, existing resources, development history, humanity spirit, urban construction, tourism development of the whole Pingdingshan, the investigation analysis in early stage has been deeply done in different angles.SWOT analysis has been adopted to analyze the reconstruction of abandoned land in seven mine, after which it is summarized that exploring the potential value of the abandoned land should be considered during the process of landscape renovation. It is concluded that the coal mine culture of seven mine is the core of the cultural connotation of the reconstruction design of seven mine. The historical process of industrial civilization of the whole site is highlighted through the preservation and artistic transformation of the symbolic coal mine mining and transportation channel and steel frame structure of seven mine, and the theme landscape with the characteristics of seven mine is created. The ecological design and cultural improvement of the abandoned land of seven mine should be carried out by combing the guiding theories including sustainable development;ecological restoration;green design, etc.Recover land regeneration capacity by ecological restoration;remold the landscape;embody regional features in the abandoned land of seven mine should be combined with the cultural characteristics of the site and recover use function of the land.In conclusion,Pingdingshan seven mine is positioned as a memorial coal mine site park of seven mines integrating ecological restoration, recreation, life experience, industrial relic protection and handicraft production, and the overall planning and design is carried outin accordance with the principle of "seven districts and one center".
