In the current social and educational environment,everything on campus can be used as educational resources,which play a very important role in the healthy growth of students.The function of the building has changed from the single normal in the past,showing a richer and more diverse image.This case is in the special group of educational buildings.While considering the function,we should also consider the educational function of the building.The dining space in educational buildings should not only satisfy the students’ dining needs,the artistry,versatility,inclusiveness and Communicativeness of the space,but also meet their educational responsibilities in the campus environment.The school canteen building not only has the commonness of the ordinary catering building,but also concentrates on the student group and the campus area,which has its own unique morphological characteristics.The canteen is an important type of campus buildings,and its daily use frequency is also very high.The planning of canteen in campus,its external shape,internal space environment,technical facilities and interior design will have a great impact on the overall architectural environment and campus cultural atmosphere.Therefore,as architects,we should design catering space to meet people’s psychological,physiological and emotional needs.In the process of design,the premise is to consider health and environmental protection,integrate regional culture,and from the perspective of education,create a supplementary classroom space for quality education,so as to achieve a building that not only meets the functional needs but also has educational significance.Through this design process,it will bring far-reaching social and economic benefits to education and architectural design,and improve its social application value.This paper mainly combines the design practice of Yushan Middle School canteen in Huzhou City,which the author participates in.In the aspect of architectural design,it is necessary to coordinate the planning and layout of the campus environment where the canteen is located and the functional streamline of the canteen itself.Combining with other buildings and environments on campus,suggestions and solutions are put forward on the basis of relevant theoretical basis from the aspects of function combination,main space adaptability,kitchen dining relationship change,internal traffic organization,architectural space layout and physical environment design.Special terrain brings rich and interesting unique space environment.In the sense of education,as a building with high frequency in campus,on the one hand,canteen is a part of teaching resources,on the other hand,it is also an experience base for students.The canteen will also exert a subtle influence on the growth of students.Therefore,in the design,we should consider the expanding function and educational significance courses used later.With the help of the canteen’s various cultural practices,the students’ living ability and social knowledge can be improved,thus promoting the canteen’s cultural education.
