With the rapid development of urbanization,the historical districts in the old urban areas of the city have gradually lost their vitality.The situation of "thousands of the city shows the same" has become more and more serious,and the city memory is slowly disappearing with the pace of urban modernization.It is the key to restore the uniqueness of the city to maintain its own cultural characteristics and style from the perspective of the historical district with the heritage of urban culture.The protection content of the historic district mainly includes the protection and repair of the relics,historical buildings,and street patterns in the street area,while the vitality of the historic district is mainly reflected by the various functions within the block and the various behavior modes generated by the participants.Taking the historic district as the research object,this paper explores the ways and means to rejuvenate the landscape of the historic district.Using the methods of literature review,case comparison and analysis,site investigation,and project practice,this paper discusses the background,purpose,and significance of this topic,collates relevant research developments at home and abroad,clarifies the contents and methods of the research,and expounds related theoretical concepts.In addition,this paper explores the methods of dynamic regeneration design,and analyzes the outstanding cases at home and abroad,such as Southern Song Imperial Street in Hangzhou,Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu,Dashilanr in Beijing,Temple bar Street in Ireland,and Historic District in Kawagoe city of Japan.Based on the current situation of the base site of Lijingmen Street in Luoyang,this paper analyzes the issues such as geographical location,traffic flow,tourism resources,economic development,historical culture,street patterns,historical relics,historical building distribution,architectural functions,POI data collection,and the various issues of status quo.Based on the problems and conclusions of the previous analysis,this paper puts forward the design concept of "seek common ground while shelving differences and act as a go-between ",and defines the five principles of people-oriented,traffic restriction,ecological sustainability,historical continuity,and vitality regeneration.Combining the design concepts and principles,this paper carries out the overall design of the Cross Street of Lijingmen in Luoyang,including the cultural entertainment area with the theme of the old city story,the commercial food area with the theme of running through ancient and modern times,the folk culture area with the theme of traditional arts and crafts old shops,and the four functional areas of forest and water leisure area with the theme of ecological new technologies.In addition,through the design of a total of 15 nodes in different locations in the functional area,This design enriches the behavior activities generated by people and places,adds drainage routes,activates the vitality of the site,and carries out special design of landscape design elements such as plant configuration,color selection,festival planning,architectural sketches,public facilities and so on.The research results provide a reference for the development of urban historical blocks.
