The Impact Of CHINA RAILWAY Express On Province's Export

As one of the most important part of One Belt One Road,CHINA RAILWAY Express(CRexpress)provide China and European countries with a new way of international trade.CRexpress also provide those inland provinces of China with new trade opportunities.However,do CRexpress promote the foreign trade of local province? Many literatures have analyzed problems about CRexpress,but less have analyzed from demonstration viewpoint.This thesis concentrates on figuring out the impact of CRexpress on province's export from an empirical perspective.We use Chongqing-Sinkiang-Europe International Railway as the foremost example,adopt Synthetic Control Methods and Difference-in-Difference to explore the topic.The empirical result shows that Chongqing-Sinkiang-Europe International Railway significantly promotes Chongqing's exportation.We also expand examples to Hubei and Sichuan to explore the effect.We find that the effect of CRexpress is also significant in Sichuan but not in Hubei.The reasons behind are related to the amount of CRexpress running,the industry development of each province,and internal competition.Besides,the effect of CRexpress may not fully show up during the short study period.To exert the positive effect of CRexpress on international trade completely,it should strengthen unified operation of CRexpress,improve efficiency of operation and lower the cost,match transport goods class with the industry of its province.
